Hometown Hainan Coffee

Sunday, 14.2.21 is CNY Day 3 and also Valentine's day but we are not doing anything special as there are two plant based meals ordered for today.

On CNY Day 1, many eateries took the day off and were closed. We managed to find a few eateries that were opened for business so we bought takeaway from them.

5 pm - he ate this pack of Nasi Lemak with one whole fried chicken leg and left a bit for me.

Good that they use cardboard box for packaging and paper napkins made from recycled material.

Hometown Hainan Coffee, Desa Petaling is open on CNY Day 1.

1.40 pm - Placed my order at the counter and went outside in non air cond area to wait because non air cond area has better air circulation. There are customers dining in, two at a table in accordance to SOP.

Was given a sample of Hainan Milk Tea instant sachet, a pack of Angpow packets. Bought iced cham at MYR 6.90+ and Nasi Lemak fried whole Chicken leg at MYR 20.70+ so the total cost is about MYR 29.28 Nett.

Front of the Angpow packet.
Back of the Angpow packet.

10 am - Another eatery that is open is this choy kee roast meat eatery in Taman Desa.

Siew yuk and char siew rice at MYR 9 Nett.

Saw the normal roast duck stall with a q on cny day 1. Before cny, one whole roast duck costs MYR 60 Nett. On cny day 1, one whole roast duck costs MYR 75 Nett.

  1. That's a surprise! Usually Chinese New Year, all closed. Not a living soul on the road, could sleep on the middle. I guess a lot of people are not going home this year, the new normal.

  4. The whole fried chicken leg looks so tempting. Here in SG, only on Day 3 then shops gradually open.
