9.38 am - reached mrt station and waited for my friend. The son dropped my friend off at the mrt station and we took the mrt to Maluri mrt station where another friend will pick the both of us up to go to the restaurant.

My friend and I walked into Aeon Maluri to look around while waiting for friend 3 to pick us up.

10.20 am - duria mooncakes stall 

10.21 am - fresh Norway fjord trout fillets MYR 9.99 per 100g.

10.47 am - the restaurant is on the 1st floor with elevator and stairs. It opens at 11 am but we went inside the restaurant before 11 am because we have made a reservation for 11 am to 2.30 pm for a room for 19 pax.

10.52 am - I have never seen such a big table for 19 pax. I thought there would be two tables of 10 pax.

11.51 am - dish 1: chicken skin with prawn fish paste beneath it.

Some of us have known each other since kindergarten when we were 5 or 6 years old.

One very creative and artistic friend drew 20 cards manually by hand which can be joined together to form a big picture

The restaurant closes at 2 pm but they allow us to stay in the room until 2.30 pm. After that some of us adjourned to a nearby dessert shop to chit chat more.

My friend's peach gum 🍑 snow nest, red bean blended milk. Looks very tasty 😋 

I will eat this dessert next time.

I sat in my friend's grab car to accompany her to klia 2 so that we can chit chat more for there is so much to talk about for the 36 years that we have lost touch with each other.

5.45 pm - a parade at klia 2 

6.10 pm - bye bye my friend. I wonder 🤔 when I can go sg to visit u.

6.34 pm - I waited for the 6.48 pm klia transit train to putrajaya to connect to the mrt line to go back to 🪙 🐉 mrt station 

7.15 pm - connecting stations at putrajaya 

7.51 pm - this is the 8 pm bus to my 🏡 

8.02 pm - smile 😁 you are being recorded by the cctv

It is a 2 to 3 minutes walk from the bus stop to my 🏡 so it is very convenient

8.28 pm - ate the jelly cake I brought 🏡

Early Valentine Brunch

On Thursday 13.feb.2025, went to midvalley mall to eat my early valentine day brunch after he painted the cement porch with water sealant blue paint from 8.14 am to 9 am. Traffic congestion on salak highway due to a stalled tractor in the middle of the road. Took 17 minutes from 10.43 am to 11 am to reach midvalley mall.

After reading PH's cakes experience in the link below, I realised that I haven't eaten any cakes at Red Kettle so I decided to eat cakes as the early valentine brunch:

12.03 noon - mocha cake is not available so I ordered black forest cake MYR 20.90++ which has strong alcohol taste which I like with rich chocolate taste 😋 

The tiramisu cake MYR 24.90++ has lots of walnuts in it so is very delicious 🤤 

12.04 noon - flat white and iced long black. Both are MYR 14.90++ each. The flat white is very creamy with robust coffee taste ☕ The iced long black is refreshingly slightly bitter.

12.06 noon - I ordered bacon sourdough eggs cheese MYR 34.90++ but requested for no cheese because he doesn't eat cheese and I want him to eat the bacon. The scrambled eggs are buttery.

Total for 5 items MYR 128.20 nett.

12.14 noon - my portion after he has eaten his share of bacon. He ate a bit of the black forest cake and drank both coffee a bit so I ate the bulk of this tasty brunch and completed my omad for this day.

*** Nanyang Cafe Midvalley mall ***

His main brunch: 

11.14 am - prawns wanton soup without noodles MYR 15.50++

11.20 am - soft boiled eggs after 6 minutes in hot boiling water MYR 4.80++

He says they are too cooked so next time we will wait 5 minutes only.

12.26 noon - shared hot Nanyang coffee MYR 8.50++ and my portion of prawns wantons.

Total for 4 items MYR 56.50 nett.

We always eat these 5 items at this eatery. They are our favourites.

Pandan Chiffon Cake

On Sunday 17.jul.22, went to Taman Desa to buy food.

*** RT Pastry ***

Vanilla chiffon cake. Eggy taste and very finely soft - I like. 😋😋 I could eat these chiffon cakes every day. Light and easy.

Chocolate chiffon cake. It tastes nice too. He is ok to eat both cakes as there is no butter and no milky taste.

Bought a pandan Chiffon Cake for my friend. All cakes cost the same. MYR 8.20 for one cake.

2.34 pm - chapfan without fan from Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop MYR 6 for a braised egg, broccoli+cauliflower, four angles beans and bitter gourd. He also bought chapfan with fan at MYR 8.50 with a steamed chicken thigh, scrambled eggs and choy sum veges.

Bought two siew Bao and 1 egg tart at MYR 2.20 each from Sing Kee Kitchen and 4 cham ping at MYR 4.5 each from Pakopi drinks truck.

Pandan Gula Melaka Cake

On Monday 30.aug.21, we just stayed at home and eat the food in the fridge.

4 pm - Teatime with a slice of Pandan Gula Melaka cake from McCafe. He ate 80% of it, leaving behind the top and outer layer of the cake which is coconut flakes on coconut cream for me to finish up.

1 pm - Apple Crumble Cheese cake from McCafe as my dessert after lunch. 😋 Tasty!

There are raisins and apple pieces in the cake. The top crumbles remind me of apple short crust pie.

12 noon - received these two boxes of McCafe's cakes. They are made by Secret Recipe.

Each slice of cake costs MYR 11.31+ 

This is the advert that made the cakes look so tempting.
