On Wednesday 10.jul.2024, went to Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Ate at Oriental Kopi and Dao. Bought items from Verona Bread & Patisserie and Muji.

2.54 pm - 2 of us shared this big bowl of taohua in chrysanthemum sweet soup MYR 5.20+ with 5 pumpkin tong Yuen MYR 2.50+ so total is MYR 8.15 nett. The taohua is tasty and smooth. The pumpkin tong Yuen feels like having more glutinous flour than pumpkin.

11.25 am - opening day so long queue because today and tomorrow there is 50% on all bread and 30% on cakes.

The rye sourdough is tasty because it is slightly sour. The ruby red velvet slice cake is incorrect. I bought a slice of strawberry mousse cheese cake. Taste nice though the foamy texture of mousse is not in my favourite list.

4.27 pm - taste is nice. I think my tastebud has been adjusted to prefer less sweet items.

4.32 pm - the middle cheese portion has foamy mousse texture. I like the strawberry jam taste which I always do which is the reason I bought this slice of cake beca

The buyer's tray in front of me has the popular millefeuille toast. The buyer managed to grab it when a freshly baked very small batch of about 8 loaves of toasts appeared.

Hunt for Soft Bread Loaf

On Sunday 12.may.2024, he wanted to try out a chicken Kai see hor fun in Chun Heong Kopitiam 新全香咖啡店 lucky garden bangsar that he read that someone online says is tasty. I suggested that he checked properly which stall because one coffee shop could have two stalls selling the same type of noodles. Later after we have eaten the Kai see hor fun, he found out that the correct stall is in the annex portion of the coffee shop but the one we ate is also very tasty so all is well. Need to visit this coffee shop again to eat the Kai see hor fun from the correct stall. 😂 

After that we went to Midvalley mall because I wanted to look for a very soft pillowy bread loaf to buy after watching a video online showing soft soft bread loaf being cut overseas.

8.38 am - whole chicken leg and 2 prawns hor fun MYR 14 nett. There are bean sprouts and chives too. Tasty 😋 

8.37 am - found that sun huat Kee 3jc that we like to eat has moved to this coffee shop so he ordered dry 3jc noodles MYR 10 nett shared by the two of us. The noodles are soft and a bit gooey which we like.

Hot cham and cold cham, total MYR 5 nett.

He bought 3 tubs of soy pudding aka tofufa as takeaway.

c. 6 very small Orange lemon pound cakes in prepacked MYR 5.90 nett which taste very good, buttery with orange taste so I will buy these tiny pound cakes again.

2. Bar cook MYR 27.50 nett

a. Banana cake MYR 15.50 nett

b. One salted egg yolk tart MYR 12 nett

3. Finest bake

One container with 25 pineapple rolls MYR 26 nett

Tried all of them a bit and found that all items are tasty.

I ate 3 sticks to try. The cheese taste is very light too. Very easy to eat.

No water whole day

On Wednesday 11.oct.2023, early morning at 7 am, he planned to grab to hkl with the elderly but kid 1 was stuck in traffic from 6.30 am and only reached at about 7.20 am so all 3 grab MYR 29 nett to hkl arriving at about 8.20 am which is still within the tolerance of 1 hour late from 8 am appointment time by hkl.

10.41 am was their turn after waiting for about 2 hours 20 mins so is considered a short wait. The Dr used honey pads to soften slough. Slough is necrotic tissue to be removed from wounds.

12.14 noon all 3 graback and home safely at 12.38 noon.

3.29 pm - since there is no water the whole day I didn't go out. My omad - Just ate half an avocada, half hock hua herbal jelly aka kwai lin gao, 8 slices of wholemeal bread with goober jam and wipe st daflour orange jam clean.

Morning 44

Next morning 44.05 even after eating so many pieces of bread because hock hua kwai lin gou is a strong diuretic so it got rid of most of the water in my body from the bread.

Sesame Sunflower Seeds Bread

Sunday 26.dec.21 is his turn to supply both lunch and dinner to the elderlies.

9.09 am - my breakfast of two slices of Gardenia Bonjour Le Classique Sesawhite With Sunflower Seeds and one mini tub of butter. Does the job.

How much butter do you use? I just use the whole mini tub to avoid keeping any remaining butter. This butter is from the hotel tea set which we didn't use.

10.49 am - Sepetang nasi lemak from taman desa with coconut rice, egg, long bean, tiny prawns, pork curry, no sambal, deep fried anchovies, peanuts and curry potatoes for MYR 9.50 nett.

We bought economy rice chap fan for the Elderlies lunch at a total of MYR 15 nett:

Pack 1 - petai minced meat, bitter gourd and egg tofu with rice. This combination got one like from one elderly.

Pack 2 - soy knot, cloud ear fungus zhar yuk, chopped up kai lan with rice. Feedback is the zhar yuk is too tough so no more zhar yuk next time.

Dinner delivered directly to the Elderlies from Good Taste Bukit Jalil by shopeefood. Feedback is that they are afraid to eat the preserved mustard green frequently because they think it will make their legs go weak so both these dishes are off the list. No next time.

Pandan Coconut Bread

 Saturday 21.aug.21: Today I managed to get the new gardenia bread, coconut pandan flavour.

4.49 pm - This new Gardenia bread is soft, sweet and tasty to be eaten on its own without any jam or butter. It is like eating kaya bread. The coconut taste is stronger than the pandan taste. One loaf costs MYR 4.70 nett.

2.26 pm - bread for 3 households.

1.48 pm - since getting delivery for bread, might as well get some vegetables as well.

The delivery fees for Pandamart is only MYR 1.99 nett and we get the items within 1 to 2 hours so it is very convenient. I use this service to get Gardenia bread by delivery so it is a weekly event.

Uji Matcha Azuki Beans

 Bought these two items from a home baker in insta with the name  cake_aroundthecorner on 27.mar.21 with free delivery promotion for the month.

Matcha red bean roll customized to have only red bean paste without any cream at all as the fillings. Size is about 9 to 10 inches and costs MYR 45 nett. The ingredients used are top quality so they are worth the price.

I also bought a 8 inch matcha bread that costs MYR 40 nett.

Does the bread look like wool bread mentioned by STP ?

Yins Sourdough Uptown

I noticed this Yin's Sourdough Bakery and Cafe in Damansara Uptown. I have been to this cafe in Penang so I am glad to see them in the Klang Valley now.

They open very early at 7.30 am because they serve breakfast in their cafe. We bought 4 items as takeaways and my friend loves their Three Seeds Wholemeal Loaf at MYR 10 nett. Maybe one day if we are there early in the morning, we will dine in for breakfast.

This is half of the pair of cinnamon roll at MYR 5.20 nett per pair. It has a lot of raisins and walnuts in it so it is tasty but I could not taste the cinnamon.

This is half a slice of the banana cake at MYR 6 nett a slice. Almost as expensive as a slice of banana cake from Delectable by Su at MYR 7 nett a slice. The taste is authentic without any artificial banana essence.

This is the cross section of a loaf of Rye Sourdough at MYR 12.60 nett a loaf. It is soft and quite dense with a sourish taste.
