Pedestrian Bridge

On Thursday 11.jul.2024, had to do an errand in town so went early to pudu icc for breakfast and then parked at pavilion kl MYR 16 nett. Walked to menara uoa and then to lot 10 hutong food court for lunch before going back.

*** Pudu ICC ***

7.33 am to 7.57 am ish, about 24 minutes in the morning traffic.

8.02 am - his favourite noodles soup.

8.47 am - coffee, eggs, toast set MYR 10.40 nett from the famous coffee stall on the right of the entrance of pudu icc food court. There are two triangles of toasts. I have eaten one.

*** Pavilion KL ***
This mall opens at 10 am so since we entered the car park before 10 am, we need to park at section D because all doors are locked except the entrance at section D which leads to Pavilion Connexion, the open area between pavilion mall and pavilion elite.

I then walked towards klcc on the pedestrian bridge to menara uoa and bring forward my appointment from 11 am to 10 am.

11.03 am - on my way back to pavilion mall from menara uoa. I like walking on this pedestrian bridge because it is bright and airy so it is a pleasant walk from pavilion to klcc and vice versa.

*** Tea Garden Pavilion ***

10.34 am - he ate this toasts and tea while waiting for me. He says the toast is very tasty as the bread is very thin, thinner than the butter fillings.

*** Lot 10 Hutong ***

11.42 am - I suggest that he eats this Kim Lian Kee Hokkien Mee MYR 17.30 nett. No idea why the pieces of lard on top are not fried to very crispy level.

11.50 am - I ordered this bowl of mixed beef items MYR 15 nett from the Soong Kee stall.

11.56 am - braised knuckle rice set MYR 18.90 nett with soup, egg and tofu. I didn't want any rice and I understand the price remains the same.

11.57 am - the braised food set is from this Hao Ji stall.

Walked back and bought some items from Mercator supermarket:
1. Sunshine bread 4
2. Papaya type rose 15.2 at 9.99 per kg
3. 8 green apples 19.9
4. 8 navel Sunkist oranges 18.90
Dropped off items 2 to 4 for my friend.
1.16 pm to 1.26 pm - 10 minutes to my friend's house.
Parking fees 16

*** Clear Fridge Food ***

2.24 pm - ate the remaining half of the red bean cream bun and garlic bread bought yesterday from Verona bakery.

Morning 44.15
Next morning 44.25

Noodlicious by 1977

On Thursday 24.mar.22, ordered 1 pandamart delivery and 3 food deliveries for the Elderlies and ourselves.

*** 1st time buy from this eatery ***

1.23 pm - shared this hokkien Mee by 2 pax. Quite acceptable but it doesn't have the fragrance of dried fish. The sambal provided taste fine too. Portion is enough for two very small eaters.

2.39 pm - I kept the balance of this Mee hoon for another day after using it to soak up all the remaining curry gravy from the nasi lemak Curry chicken bought on Tuesday from Tradisi Kopitiam. This Mee hoon did the job very well. With it soaking up the huge amount of curry gravy, I was able to finished eating all the curry gravy without a single drop left.

This noodlicious by 1977 eatery is operating within the same shop as Ipoh chicken rice 1977 in Sri petaling.

*** Swee Lian Ji Pork Noodles ***

His breakfast on Friday 25.mar.22 which is the next day. He said the herbal soup tastes good and the portion of mihun is huge so he kept half for me.

This stall is located in Fat Boy Coffee Shop which has another e-store in Foodpanda app where we bought ccf from previously.

*** Mart30 promo code ***

Bought gardenia wholemeal bread and tissue paper rolls for the Elderlies. The murcott mandarin oranges weigh 800g a pack and that weight is made up of 7 mandarin oranges. He doesn't eat them because he says that they are ?heaty? So they are for me as I find it more convenient to eat Mandarin oranges than navel or valencis oranges.

The list of items bought from pandamart.

*** Yang Kee Beef OUG ***

The Elderlies like the ytf brinjal from this eatery because they are soft after soaking up all the oil so they are very flavourful. This us still the eatery we buy from, for easy-to-eat tasty beef noodles. The chili dip is sourish and not too spicy so I like it. In a nutshell, we ate noodles for all 3 meals on this day.

Charcoal Stove Hokkien Mee

4.36 pm 27.1.21 wed - not my lunch of wat tan ying Yong at MYR 10.80 Nett. Contrary to the belief that food such as wat tan ying Yong won't taste good when takeaway, this one tastes great!

4 pm 27.1.21 wed, both of us shared these salt pepper deep fried squid at MYR 25 Nett. Very flavourful.

7.33 am 28.1.21 Thu - both of us shared this hokkien Mee at MYR 12.20 Nett for breakfast.

Packaging - All 3 types of food were poured onto a big plastic sheet for each individually. They then tied the four corners of the plastic sheet together like the above photo.

3.50 pm 27.1.21 Wed - received the food from food panda rider.

Delivery fees is MYR 4.23 from the charcoal Stove Hokkien Mee stall at Jalan lazat to my place which is reasonable.

Uptown Hokkien Mee at PopCorn

My friend says that this Hokkien Mee at MYR 11.90 nett tastes better than the one in town that is more sweet than savoury because this one is savoury and has more wok hei with pork lard taste.

We ordered two plates to be shared by 4 pax.

Stall 7 - Uptown Hokkien Mee at PopCorn Food Court, Midvalley Mall. I have been to their branch in Kuchai Lama but not to the original outlet in Damansara Uptown itself.

Hokkien Mee Again!

Hokkien mee again - MYR12.90 +6% GST +10% service charge = MYR15.05 - this one is how Hokkien mee should be - the gravy is thick and sticking to the noodles. There are deep fried lard pieces in the noodle.

Wat Tan Yin Yong - Cantonese style mee hoon mixed with hor fun in an egg gravy - same price as the Hokkien mee above so the nett price is MYR15.05

I love to eat the rice vermicelli (mee hoon) when it has soaked up the egg gravy and is very soft.

For fiber, we ordered a bowl of yin choy (amaranth) soup - MYR9.20 nett

We ordered all these dishes at Kim Lian Kee at Midvalley. My friend laughed at me. She said hah, go to Midvalley to eat Dai Chow (stir fried food cooked at road side stalls), hahahaha!

Total Bill - MYR39.30 for two pax

This is how the place looks  like in Midvalley Mall - there is another branch at Viva Mall and and the headquarter is in Petaling Street.
