On Monday 12.oct.2026, met up with guests for breakfast before one flies west and one buses south.

7.39 am - we shared this nasi lemak chicken curry MYR 10.90+

He gave the guests a treat:

桂林人粥城大城堡店 restaurant has been here at Sri Petaling since 2020 but I never noticed it until this flower bouquet vending machine appeared.

On Tuesday 6.oct.2026, I wasn't feeling hungry when I woke up so I didn't eat much for the day.

🚗 ac has burnt smell so replaced the evaporator coil denso 420, expansion valve 130, gas+oil 100 and labour 200.

8.33 am - his chapfan with a little rice MYR 8 nett

8.34 am - I went to look at the chapfan dishes but didn't feel like eating anything so I didn't buy anything. So early but there are already many people buying chapfan as takeaway. I guess it is for their lunch later.

8.36 am - he ate two soft boiled eggs with his chapfan 

8.38 am - I ordered my favourite champing less sweet MYR 3.50 nett 😋 

8.42 am - he let me finished up his chapfan. After this omad I completed my meals for this day.

When we got into the 🚗 to go 🏡 the 🚗 ac has a burnt smell so he dropped me 🏡 and went to the 🚗 workshop.

We walked to the 🚗 workshop to collect the 🚗 so he ate duck before going home in the 🚗 

1.21 pm - they told him only quarter top duck is available so he just ate that MYR 22 nett. Soup is foc and free flow. I just watched him eat without eating or drinking anything.

On Saturday 26.sep.2026, went to Lucky Garden Bangsar, midvalley mall and warisan Kopi tmn bkt indah for food after drop off items.

So decided to eat the duck slices rendang macaroni and cheese 

10.35 am - smoked duck slices on top of rendang mac & cheese MYR 26.90++

Tasty 😋 the macaroni is mixed with rendang sauce so it is creamy, a bit spicy and a bit on the sweet side. Then it is topped with cheese and baked. The smoked duck breast slices and tomatoes are then placed on top.

10.35 am - luckily the portion of the duck Mac and cheese is not big.

10.28 am - after joining their loyalty program, need to buy a normal main meal to get a slice of free cake so he chose sg laksa soup MYR 22.50++ with laksa noodles.

 

10.15 am - iced long black MYR 9.50++ with a slice of chocolate banana cake MYR 13.80++ The cake was free after using a promo loyalty program voucher. Total MYR 72.70 nett before voucher. After voucher, the price is MYR 58.90 nett.

8.13 am - set A MYR 11.80++ topup 80 cents to change the hot drink to nescafe. Total MYR 13.75 nett.

8.44 am - we sat outside the eatery and it was hot there so we went to sit inside the eatery, facing the display cabinet.

8.44 am - pineapple cake loaf MYR 23 nett. Maybe I will buy it to try one fine day.

8.46 am - since we changed our seats, I went to buy another item and chose abc ais kacang MYR 7.90++ which is MYR 8.75 nett. Luckily it wasn't that sweet.

1.57 pm - I was too full so I just ordered ice tea lime without sugar. He ordered cold cham and yam rice pork mix soup.

2 pm - the yam rice 🍚 was like a mini mountain so we requested it to be halved to be levelled with the top of the bowl.

7.49 am - we shared the 3jc dry noodles. He said it wasn't as nice as before but it is still much better than many places.

On Wednesday 5.aug.2026, went to the new eatery Leng 9 because I need to run an errands nearby.

9.42 am - he ordered fish slices noodles soup no milk.

9.43 am - soft boiled eggs for him MYR 3.60 nett.

9.46 am - I ordered cold lime juice kosong without any sugar so it was refreshingly sour which I like MYR 4 nett.

He ordered a small cup of hot cham MYR 2.90 nett as can be seen in the photo below.

Total for 3 items: MYR 10.50 nett.

9.47 am - we decided to order this yee mee egg gravy soup MYR 12 nett to try. Very tasty 😋 so I will order it again.

9.59 am - the egg gravy soup stall provided this bottle of vinegar for us to add to the egg gravy soup to enhance the taste 😋

10.10 am - NuxV recommended this Fried XO durian pastry at MYR 4.90 each but we were too early so they are no available yet so I bought one deep fried banana MYR 1.90 nett and one deep fried sweet potato sandwich nian gao MYR 2.90 nett to take 🏡 

10.11 am - the deep fried items and dessert stall is called Leong's Sweet Dessert since 2005. Fried crispy bites new year cake is the tagline.

After that I went to run my errand and then we went to collect our items from family mart ssg. Opposite family mart ssg is Choy Kee Roast Duck shop which opened a few months ago from being just a stall by the roadside so we went there to give our support by buying half a roast duck MYR 43 nett to take 🏡

As there are duck bones, we plan to use the duck bones to boil soup with green mustard leaves vegetables the next day.

11.24 am - we shared this deep fried banana MYR 1.90 nett and deep fried sweet potato sandwich nian gao MYR 2.90 nett. Taste acceptable 👍 😊

These pandan cakes are from the previous day where my friend gave the 7 of us 8 boxes, one box each plus one extra box for the friend with 5 children.

11.26 am - pandan tales with their mission to bring back the aroma of real pandan to every table. Look for them at insta to order two boxes at MYR 30

On Thursday 16.july.2026, went to kokan for food. A walk to collect one item and bought snack home.

Walked to collect one item and bought one tub of mung beans tong sui for him. Also bought 3 deep fried items.

On Sunday 3.may.2026, went to Cheras for breakfast and then to MyTown mall because we need to wait till 12 noon.

He wanted to eat the noodles at Hojia eatery which is a few shops away from Kui Lum on the same row but it only opens at 9 am so we shared one bowl of noodles at Kui Lum and wait till 9 am to eat noodles again at Hojia.

7.44 am - good value at MYR 11 nett.

7.44 am - cham hot MYR 4 nett. We kept this cham drink in the car and forgot about it. Ended up pouring it away the next day because the cup was crawling with 🐜 

7.58 am - my portion. The pieces of liver are quite thick and tender. Very tasty 😋 I like the taste of the fried mee sua noodles too but he thinks the taste is too strong. I will eat this bowl of fried mee sua livers noodles soup again.

After that, we walked around the area to look at shops there to wait till 9 am.

8.14 am - saw this Zhen Shen Ye Gong Fang that opens at 10 am selling egg tarts and mini pies.

8.16 am - Hau Kee Seafood eatery that opens at 5 pm till midnight.

8.30 am - ate here because it wasn't 9 am yet but we have completed our walk.

8.48 am - both dishes are very tasty. The layered fats and meat provide the perfect texture.

The duck is juicy and tender. 😋

As we were full, we couldn't eat noodles at Hojia at 9 am anymore so no go.

8.47 am - this roast whole chicken is a very popular dish and there is an ongoing promo of MYR 48 nett for one chicken but we didn't order it because too much work to eat one whole chicken.

9.05 am - saw this bakery with many types of freshly baked bread.

9.31 am - the mall opens at 10 am so we were early 😂

10.27 am - we shared a cold big tub of herbal jelly MYR 16 nett.

Shaved ice abc MYR 16++ which I like a lot as the portion is small with lots of toppings. The ice shavings are drizzled with condensed milk.

11.43 am - we shared nasi lemak chicken berempah MYR 25++

The chicken tastes really good

We took most of the rice home.

*** Pay Last Respects ***

12.34 noon - said goodbye to my late friend, her face was very peaceful 😢 

It was very unexpected.

The whole family was having dinner and she felt unwell.

On the way to the clinic, she fell unconscious in the car so they went to the hospital instead of the clinic.

The doctors gave her the strongest meds that they could give but she passed away after 3 days in the hospital without regaining consciousness.

The doctors think her body cannot withstand the strain of having hyperthyroidism for quite some time. 

Her ashes would be set free at the sea as per her wishes. 

May she rest in peace 🙏 

I will always remember her as the little girl who went to the same primary school on the same school bus with me as we lived on the same street and we were in the same class. Later her family moved away.

6.12 pm - ate the two remaining tea eggs bought the previous day from pavilion Bukit Jalil with two slices of wholemeal bread and a few packs of snacks. 😂
