Goodbye

On Sunday 3.may.2026, went to Cheras for breakfast and then to MyTown mall because we need to wait till 12 noon.

*** Kui Lum Lorong Lobak Cheras ***

He wanted to eat the noodles at Hojia eatery which is a few shops away from Kui Lum on the same row but it only opens at 9 am so we shared one bowl of noodles at Kui Lum and wait till 9 am to eat noodles again at Hojia.

7.44 am - good value at MYR 11 nett.

7.44 am - cham hot MYR 4 nett. We kept this cham drink in the car and forgot about it. Ended up pouring it away the next day because the cup was crawling with 🐜 

7.58 am - my portion. The pieces of liver are quite thick and tender. Very tasty 😋 I like the taste of the fried mee sua noodles too but he thinks the taste is too strong. I will eat this bowl of fried mee sua livers noodles soup again.

After that, we walked around the area to look at shops there to wait till 9 am.

8.14 am - saw this Zhen Shen Ye Gong Fang that opens at 10 am selling egg tarts and mini pies.

8.16 am - Hau Kee Seafood eatery that opens at 5 pm till midnight.

*** Jiu Ding Ji ***

8.30 am - ate here because it wasn't 9 am yet but we have completed our walk.

8.41 am - duck single portion breast meat MYR 10.80 nett

Bbq pork aka char siew 140g MYR 15 nett

8.48 am - both dishes are very tasty. The layered fats and meat provide the perfect texture.

The duck is juicy and tender. 😋 

8.47 am - breakfast set kaya butter toasts, coffee and soft boiled eggs MYR 7.90 nett.

Total MYR 33.70 nett.

As we were full, we couldn't eat noodles at Hojia at 9 am anymore so no go.

8.47 am - this roast whole chicken is a very popular dish and there is an ongoing promo of MYR 48 nett for one chicken but we didn't order it because too much work to eat one whole chicken.

*** S&T Bakery & Cafe ***

9.05 am - saw this bakery with many types of freshly baked bread.

*** MyTown ***

9.31 am - the mall opens at 10 am so we were early 😂 

Parking fees MYR 5.50 nett 9.16 am to 12.26 noon.

*** Koong Woh Tong Mytown ***

10.27 am - we shared a cold big tub of herbal jelly MYR 16 nett.

*** Serai MyTown ***

11.42 am - iced long black MYR 10++

Shaved ice abc MYR 16++ which I like a lot as the portion is small with lots of toppings. The ice shavings are drizzled with condensed milk.

11.43 am - we shared nasi lemak chicken berempah MYR 25++

The chicken tastes really good

We took most of the rice home.

Total MYR 59.15 nett.

*** Pay Last Respects ***

12.34 noon - said goodbye to my late friend, her face was very peaceful 😢 

It was very unexpected.

The whole family was having dinner and she felt unwell.

On the way to the clinic, she fell unconscious in the car so they went to the hospital instead of the clinic.

The doctors gave her the strongest meds that they could give but she passed away after 3 days in the hospital without regaining consciousness.

The doctors think her body cannot withstand the strain of having hyperthyroidism for quite some time. 

Her ashes would be set free at the sea as per her wishes. 

May she rest in peace 🙏 

I will always remember her as the little girl who went to the same primary school on the same school bus with me as we lived on the same street and we were in the same class. Later her family moved away.

*** Too hungry ***

6.12 pm - ate the two remaining tea eggs bought the previous day from pavilion Bukit Jalil with two slices of wholemeal bread and a few packs of snacks. 😂 

1 small bottle herbal drink and 3 tea eggs set is MYR 10.90 nett.

Retained 500g water because ate a lot and completed meals later at 6.30 pm.
