Went to MyTown to drop off recycle items. Was exiting KFC when I saw this new stall so bought some desserts from them.

3.17 pm - middle eastern desserts.
Left: an assortment of baklava.
Right: kunafa or knafeh

"Baklava is a layered pastry dessert made of filo pastry, filled with chopped nuts, and sweetened with syrup or honey" - from wiki online.

"Knafeh is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with spun pastry called kataifi, soaked in a sweet, sugar-based syrup called attar, and typically layered with cheese, or with other ingredients such as clotted cream, pistachio or nuts..." - from wiki online.

Side views. For dessert lovers, they are yummylicious! 😋😋😋

Look at the cheese!

This is the kunafa queen stall opposite KFC.

The menu at Kunafa Queen.

The menu:

1. Balah-al sham which is like mini churros. Similar to tulumba which is fried dough which is later soaked in syrup. Crunchy outside, soft and juicy inside.

2. Namorah - Lebanese semolina cake.
Made with semolina flour and yogurt. Topped with almonds and soaked in syrup.

3. Basbousah - syrup semolina cake.

4. Dates with Nuts.

5. Mixed Baklava which I bought.

MYR 14 for each type so total is MYR 28 nett.

  1. I would buy and try a bit of every item. If too rich or too sweet for my taste, then it will be the last time.

    1. Ya, it is ok to try a bit of every item cos each item is quite small.

    1. I think they use mozzarella cheese because the cheese taste is just a bit.

    1. The kunafa only has a slight cheese taste because they use Mozart cheese I suspect.
