Yesterday Sunday 21 June 2020 d96, we were around the vicinity so we dropped by the Kai si hor fun shop that we bought takeaway from last Tuesday to dine in because there are two tables in the non aircon area with good ventilation which are more than 6 feet apart so social distancing is confirmed being implemented in this eatery and we sat at one of the two tables.
The table is divided into 4 sections by yellow tapes and we got our temperature taken and we wrote our contact details in the book at the entrance of the eatery.
2 noodles, 2 sides and a drink for MYR 29.60 nett, quite a good price for tasty food.
*** Mung beans biscuits again ***
Bought at De Market at the same shelf as the Aik Bee biscuits. This tub has the word masin (salty) written on it. Same price too at MYR 3.70 nett.
Looking at the address, this is by Aik Bee bakery in Klang too.
The biscuits are a bit bigger than the ones I bought last week. Like PH with her TK panda layer cake, I ate all 5 of them at one go because I was very hungry at 5 pm.
The fillings are still sweet though it says salty and has salt in it. Ok, not the best but acceptable though a far cry from Penang mung bean tambun biscuits.
What noodles are those? Ipoh hor fun? But the broth looks spicy.
ReplyDeleteNot spicy at all. Just got red oil.
DeleteI have to try these Penang mung bean tambun biscuits that you keep on praising. :)
ReplyDeleteHim Heang and Ghee Hiang are the two famous Penang brand of Tao sar pneah.
DeleteOk will try to hunt them down should I visit Penang. :D
DeleteGo to their shops to buy if you are in Penang.
DeleteGotta go out and look for the nice tau sar peah here.
ReplyDeleteGood good.
DeleteI haven't try the kai si hor fun at that shop before...now that u mentioned it is tasty, I will take note on that when I passed by that area.
ReplyDeleteYou have eaten at this shop before? It is at the Overseas Restaurant Sri Petaling area. Finally got a good Kai si hor fun in Sri Petaling.
DeleteThe last time I had kai si hor fun was in KLIA back in 2017. Hardly people selling this over here.
ReplyDeleteSame like no curry gravy chicken rice over here.
DeleteThe chicken koay teow looks good, I must go cari esok! I mean in Ipoh here.. hahahaa..
ReplyDeleteIpoh is famous for the Kai si hor fun.
DeleteApparently it's no longer a must to space people out at tables. Not that I went to read the guidelines.
ReplyDeleteBut still need to maintain social distancing.
