12.16 noon - English Roast MYR 22++ is a snack side dish of roast pork served with chimichurri sauce, mustard and gherkin. Chimichurri sauce is typically made of parsley, garlic, olive oil, oregano and lemon juice. He chose this dish.
12.20 noon - main dish of grilled Cajun chicken chop MYR 25++ which is chosen by him also because I asked him to choose two dishes since he chose this eatery. He chose the piri-piri sauce. He ate the chicken and I ate all the fries and salad since there are grated cheese on both items.
Piri-piri sauce is typically made of lemon juice, pepper, garlic, salt, onion, bay leaves, vinegar, oil and red chili.
12.10 noon - I chose a slice of burnt cheese cake MYR 20++ but costs MYR 25++ for the promo bundle of one black coffee with a slice of cake so he cancelled his hot coffee latte order so that I could order the cake coffee bundle and he will drink the hot black coffee instead.
I ordered a Matcha Rose Latte iced drink MYR 13++ because I just want a cold refreshing drink that is not too sweet. The light fragrant rose taste is more significant in this drink than the light matcha taste.
12.07 noon - I chose a slice of burnt cheese cake. Unlike those burnt cheese cake that I have eaten before that has two different cake texture, this slice of cake has the same texture throughout which is fine with me. The taste is creamy cheese and not too sweet with a tinge of saltiness so I would eat it again with no issue.
1.03 pm - the cake counter. I would like to try all these cakes.
11.29 am - Smore Bukit Jalil is the eatery that he chose. It is located in the same area as Friendship Cafe coffee shop. It is nicely decorated and has a soothing ambiance. It opens at 12 noon during weekdays and earlier during weekends.
S'more is an American word that means:

1.06 pm - ordered 4 items. Total price is MYR 98.60 nett.
1.03 pm - from this list of drinks, I cannot make up my mind on which drink to order.
Not brave enough to try the kombucha because I am afraid of the detox effect I heard about.
Cake and black coffee bundle MYR 25++ and I would like to try all the cakes listed in this section.

On weekends, the brunch menu is available from 9 am onwards.
Pasta and noodles are available too.

1.28 pm - took the new road from Sri Petaling to MRT Putrajaya Line station 28 to go home.
the new road looks so quiet. I passed by Smore a few times but didn't pay much attention to it coz i thought it is a bar (it used to be a bar, i think). This place has similar concept as Munching Mob (which is a few doors away) but their menu seems more extensive.

DeleteLooks really good the meals you had at Smores. I have seen many photos of Burnt Cheesecake where the top part seems more gooey while bottom half is firm. It would be nice to have both textures.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. Burnt cheesecake is supposed to have two different textures but this one tastes nice too. Just that the texture is soft throughout.
DeleteThe brunch tower looks good! Would need more people to finish it, or you could bring your trusty containers to take care of it.
