Prawn fritters

Thursday 9.dec.21 is his day to provide lunch to the Elderlies.

Thu 25.nov.21 1.36 pm - bought two prawn fritters from a stall outside Choy Kei coffee shop for MYR 2 each. Very thin and crispy. He says they taste a bit burnt but I am ok with their taste.

From the same stall, 7 sweet potato balls for MYR 5 and in the photo above, 1 ball has been eaten.

They are placed in paper bags.

The sweet potato balls are kind of like chewy glutinous balls with sweet potato mixed in them. Not those pure sweet potato paste. That egg tart is from a stall in Lai Foong coffee shop in kl city center.

I believe this banner is referring to the prawn fritters stall.

This is a kaya puff bought from a stall in Lai Foong coffee shop on Thu 25.nov.21 but is only eaten on Sat 27.nov.21 and still tastes good.

I like the taste of the kaya fillings but I don't know how much it costs.

*** Thursday 9.dec.21 ***

Ordered both our food for the whole day and the Elderlies' lunch from the same eatery, TY Tea 2Gether at Esplanade, Bukit Jalil.

4.54 pm - both of us shared this Kai see hor fun aka chicken strips flat rice noodle for our early dinner. Soup is very flavourful. There are two prawns, lots of chicken strips and chives. The flat rice noodles are smooth and silky. Overall is good but the Elderlies would say that the chicken strips from chicken breast meat are coarse and tough. They prefer chicken thigh meat that is tender and juicy.

2.58 pm - both of us shared this pork curry rice for lunch. He says that the curry is too spicy for him. I feel that there is just too much rice. This is the 2nd time we ordered this dish so no more next time.

9.42 am - both of us shared this nasi lemak chicken curry with one whole hard boiled egg for breakfast. Taste ok.

8.37 am - placed this large order for food for the whole day. The claypot yee Mee is for our next day's breakfast. 4 soft buns with siew Bao fillings, two for the elderlies' tea. I bought pandapro for the whole year at MYR 94.80 nett so I get a MYR 15 e-voucher and also discounts on selected eateries and this eatery is one of them. Pandapro is eligible for 12 free deliveries per month for orders above MYR 25 nett. Cannot carry forward to next month.

12.21 noon - the elderlies' prawns noodles. Too much yellow noodles that they cannot finish.

12.21 noon - the elderlies' lunch. Dry curry chicken noodles. Very flavourful due to the dark soy sauce used. He added bok choy to it. Too much noodles so the Elderlies cannot finish this much noodles either.

9.24 am - the noodles are stored in paper round tub containers with the soup stored separately in plastic bags and they didn't leak. However the thick soy sauce for the dry curry chicken noodle leak like shown in the above photo. So not going to order the leaky dish again.

    1. I also don't like it because of too much thick dark soy sauce. The prawn fritters are super crispy.

  4. The egg tart from Lai Foong isn't Tong Kee any more? It used to be.

If not fussy, can keep some the carbs for breakfast.

    1. I don't think it is anymore because it doesn't taste as good as TK which is tong Kee new name. We always keep remaining food for another day but the elderlies don't keep remaining noodles because the noodles won't taste good to them with their saliva in them. If want to keep the remaining noodles, have to keep a portion of the noodles before they start eating.

    3. The Elderlies cannot be bothered to do that and neither could the person serving them be bothered to do that. 😩😫😵
