Ipoh Ipoh

Thu 29.apr.21 was a public holiday. We went to PJ on an errand and he read about a delicious kai see hor fun so we went to try it making it my dine-in-2021 #4 since we are in the vicinity.

11.13 am Thu 29.apr.21 Jumbo kai see hor fun which includes a chicken leg; cold white coffee, and chee Cheong fun with 3 sauces: mushroom sauce, sweet sauce and ipoh chili sauce.

This photo just replaced the ccf with fruit Rojak. Total bill is MYR 33 nett.

11.26 am - my portion of kai see hor fun. The broth is thick and flavourful.

Then we saw this display wall and it reminded us of Oh Ipoh Cafe in Esplanad, Bukit Jalil which is now no longer there so we asked the staff and they say yes their boss has an eatery in Esplanad before so I guess the Esplanad eatery was closed to open this Ipoh Ipoh Cafe in PJ some time around early 2020.

All tables are occupied and we waited for about 10 minutes to get a table right at the entrance. This eatery has air conditioning but with an entrance as wide as the shop's width so you can say it doesn't have a door or the dining area is an open air space with free flow of air from outside to inside and vice versa. We ate for 30 mins and quickly went on our way. I know we are taking a risk so we are counting our 14 days from this date. We see many elderly folks dining in this eatery too.

Ipoh Ipoh eatery in SS2, PJ, located on the same row as Chow Yang coffee shop.

We ordered C04 Jumbo at MYR 14.50 nett.

E05 CCF with 3 sauces at MYR 7.50 nett.

Cold white coffee at MYR 4.50 nett.

Small portion of fruit Rojak at MYR 6.50 nett.

  4. Looks like a good visit.

The pandemic has revealed people with very different risk profiles. Some think 'go out can die one' and some think 'don't go out can die one'.

    1. U definitely the former. I'm in between and would be nearer the latter if my bro and hubby hadn't been the former as well.

  6. It is risky to dine in a restaurant now right...but with proper SOP...should be manageable. :D

    1. Should just eat and not talk. Many people talk a lot after eating which will contribute to the spread.
