KLCG Cronuts

In May 2013, cronut was created in New York according to this cronut wiki. In 2016, cronuts started appearing in KL. I read this Dotty's cronut review in 2016 but didn't have a chance to try it until recently, after 5 years of reading the review.

I bought this box of 6 cronuts from KLCG.online delivery on Thu, 15.apr.21 after seeing their advert online.

One box costs MYR 35.90 nett. There is a promo code for MYR 5 off for orders above MYR 20.

The different flavours with their prices.

More flavours.

I shared half of each with my friend. My picks are cinnamon and chocolate flavours. The mango cronut has a bit of cordial mango drinks taste. The matcha cronut is only for those who are used to commercial matcha taste so I will stay away from it because I prefer authentic matcha taste. The durian and caramel flavours are acceptable.

Look at the many layers.

Close up view.

The advice is to eat them within 3 hours. After eating this cronut, I am curious to try Dotty's cronuts to do a comparison.

*** Sun 18.apr.21 ***

Bought these meals from Sing Kee Kitchen coffee shop in Taman Desa for lunch and dinner. Price is MYR 22 Nett for one pack of chap fan, one pack of siew yuk char siew rice, one tub of spicy sour mustard greens and two siew baos. The siew baos have tasty small cubes of meat fillings so can buy more of them next time.

11 am - lunch of siew yuk char siew rice and chap fan with 4 dishes: brinjals; okra; pumpkin; and siew yuk with leeks.

11.40 am - taste the very appetising sour spicy mustard greens.

5.30 pm - he ate all the remaining siew yuk char siew rice with some spicy sour mustard greens.

    1. Maybe they have shredded coconut for their croissants.

  5. LOL at the instruction 'do not reheat in oven toaster'. My first instinct would have been to stick them exactly there. To make them crispy like, you know, croissants.

  6. The CRONUTS looked tempting with exotic flavours. I would love to eat them with coffee while watching Netflix.

It has been ages I have not eaten at Sing Kee Resturant. I used to walk there often for lunch from my home at Jalan Desa Utama.
