Impromptu Outing

On Tuesday 5.sep.2023, went to Golden Chopsticks coffee shop to buy chapfan for the Elderlies. Later in the afternoon, suddenly decided to go buy an item that the elderly requested for.

*** Golden Chopsticks Sri Petaling ***

10.36 am - two chapfan no rice no meat MYR 13 nett. Right: my brinjal, yam and potatoes. Left: his 3 vege dishes. Siew yuk and roast chicken thigh to share MYR 10 nett.

Supposed to be my omad but little did I know we went out again and somehow I don't know why I ordered and ate carby food. 🤦🏻‍♀️

*** 9 Kopitiam Aeon Maluri ***

2.46 pm - my carby food, coffee with ice cream float MYR 8.90++ and crusty croissant MYR 7.90++ which I find is polo bun in croissant shape. He couldn't finish his iced Hainan tea MYR 5.90++ so I drank it too.

I ordered these two items. The price for the crusty croissant has increased by MYR 1 so it is MYR 8.90 in my bill. Passable.

2.43 pm - we shared this nasi lemak chicken rendang MYR 14.90++

3.15 pm - total price MYR 43.25 nett.

3.10 pm - 9 Kopitiam Aeon Maluri.

*** Fruit ***

12.54 noon - after brunch at Golden Chopsticks coffee shop, I cut up a papaya bought from Aeon midvalley mall and both of us ate 5/8 of it. The remainder is kept in the fridge for the next day.

*** Elderly's Request ***

Kid 4 told the elderly about this product so the elderly wanted it but we couldn't find it locally so he searched online and found the one below and went to the shop in Aeon Maluri to buy two boxes of 6 each for the elderly.

Fish Essence Tonic.

*** Warning Wounds Photos ***
*** Don't look if squeamish ***

For the records:

Monday 7.aug.2023, kid 1 and him brought the elderly to consult kid 1's GP about the above. Weeping edema where fluid will leak out from the skin. Edema blisters are caused by buildup of fluids under the skin.

Tuesday 5.sep.2023, healing - current state. Kid 1 and him are changing the gauze daily.

  2. Oh dear. The wounds look pretty bad but at least now drying up. Is the elderly diabetic?

    1. It wouldn't dry up because of the weeping edema. Fluid will keep flowing out from under the skin. At least the wounds are smaller and new flesh is growing inwards from the sides. Yes you are right. Diabetic and max diabetic meds already. Not wanting to go the insulin jabs routes the kids are controlling the carb but the elderly sometimes will curi curi go buy carb and eat secretly.

  3. hi you may ask the GP if "modern dressing" is needed for the diabetic ulcer.

    1. Thank you for the suggestion. Will ask the GP in the next visit. The GP has prescribed hyalo4 start ointment but the wound is leaking a lot of fluid until the dressings are soaked very quickly.

    2. If the wound is "wet", you need to "dry" it. If the wound is "dry", you need to "wet" (provide moisture). This promotes wound healing. "Modern wound dressing" like using Aquacel Ag, Dermacyn, etc is meant for such purpose, depending on the type of wound, the presence of infection, the viability of the tissue surrounding the wound.
