Mama Yen Cafe Taman Desa

On Sunday 16.apr.2023, went to Taman Desa to buy lunch for the Elderlies and ate at a new eatery there. In the evening, went to 126 Kopitiam to buy chapfan dinner for the Elderlies and himself.

He read the article below and decided to eat at this new Mama Yen Cafe at Taman Desa:

10.01 am - we ordered two main meals, one drink, one ALA carte dish and two desserts. I like the fried mihun a lot because the texture is soft and a little gooey. The rendang gravy and curry gravy are just a bit spicy. They gave some caramelized onions sambal to go with the mihun.

10.01 am - one hot bubur chacha, one cold bubur chacha and one ala carte acar.

9.56 am - We ordered meals A3 and B4.

We also ordered S8, one portion of achar.

The bubur chacha is only available on Wednesday and Sunday so we ordered one bowl each because I prefer it cold but he prefers it hot. It has many pieces of sweet potatoes and yam in it.

The full menu.

Total price for 2 pax is MYR 53.20 nett.

10.10 am - the space is long and narrow.

The green signboard says Mama Yen Cafe.

10.51 am - After that we walked to Tuck Tuck Tei to buy lunch for the Elderlies. Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop has rearranged the chapfan cabinets since two weeks ago to allow customers to scoop the chapfan dishes themselves.
