Korean Spicy Chicken Bun

Bought this bun from 711 for MYR 2 nett on Friday 1.1.21.

Limited edition of Mighty White buns.

The fillings are in paste form and made with Gochujang which is Korean red chili paste. It is spicy. For those who like Gochujang because I cannot taste any chicken or feel any chicken meat texture. Eating this bun would be solely for the taste of korean red chili paste.

I believe that the fillings are piped in through each side because I can see some fillings have oozed out at each side where the piping went in.

  3. I have not bought those Korean mochi buns for a long long time - the place that made really good ones have stopped doing it, for reasons unknown. Can find at some bakeries, all no good.

Have not seen this one here - the current trend is the one with garlic cheese, not nice, bought once, never again.

    1. I think u will be disappointed because this wouldn't burn your mouth. Not that level of spiciness.

  5. I don't think I will buy if it is just to taste the spicy chili paste. Better not burn my tongue. Lol!

    1. It is just a bit spicy to u. Not super duper spicy.

  6. Looks nice like a charcoal bun. Wonder if that's characteristic of a Korean bun? The McD Korean burger previously was also black. But a chilli paste bun doesn't sound good!

    1. Not sure because I have never been to Korea. God chicken meat in the chili paste but minced so tiny that it is just paste.

  7. Wouldn't try this if can only taste the chilli paste and cannot detect the taste of the minced chicken as they are minced until too tiny.
