Stir Fried Duck and Ginger Noodle - MYR 11 for the smallest portion. Surprisingly it tastes quite good despite looking not very nice.
Stir-Fried Beef, Ginger and Spring Onion Noodle (Hor Fun) with slippery egg sauce (Beef Wat Tan Hor) - MYR11 for the smallest portion as well. Tastes quite good too. Prices are nett.

I saw this place last week when we wanted to eat at Hailam kopitiam.. I showed this to hubby and he said thank you! We saw the restaurant but didnt plan to try coz from the name it sounds like a toast+boiled eggs place, no heavy food.. But after we see your noodles, ahhh ok, another place to try soon! Thanks dearie!
I'd go for the beef, looks nicer than the duck. Gosh!!! Rather pricey though but servings are big - can be shared by two, I guess. I hate places like this actually, lots of them here now too - hold you to ransom. One person going on his own will be forced to order and eat that...and leave much of it behind, too much for one to handle. What a waste! They could have served less and reduced the price.
I think perhaps they need to set that price to earn a profit, any less will be a loss for them. I always bring a container from home with me so if I see the portion is very big, I will keep half in my container before I start to eat.
awwww looks good, surely comforting to have them on a rainy day, and it's the rainy season now huh?? but RM11 for the smallest portion, how small and enough for how many people?? can see the duck in the first photo but there seem to have a lot of beef given in the second photo.. yummy yummy!! :)
Oh sorry, I have mistaken you for Louiz!! I opened two blogs at the same time and my mind got muddled! Surely enough for you and for me.. small portion is always enough.. but Louiz always say she can eat a lot so I asked enough or not for her.. hahaha... see my blunder? Not even retired yet!
I am quite familiar with that area. It has started to be quite happening after being quiet with no takers for so long. This restaurant looks popular from the photo. My wife avoids carbo almost 100% so I get fatter eating noodles alone! LOL

ReplyDeleteYour wife is so disciplined! I cannot stay 100% off carb so I just eat less rice.
DeleteBeef wat tan hor...good if it's not overly starchy. Is it as good as Soo Kee's?
ReplyDeleteSoo Kee's is a bit less watery so they are quite different.
