A bowl of beef meat balls noodle (MYR6 for a small portion) at my favourite beef noodle eatery. I have been eating here since I was about 4 years old.
Interior of the original shop. They have a stall selling this noodle at Lot 10's Hutong food court but it is more expensive there.
This is the original shop situated right in the middle of KL town. I wonder when the colourful mural got onto its wall.
thanks for sharing this food place, i didn't saw it before.. @.@
ReplyDeleteYou didn't see?
DeleteOoooo....I would love that!!! RM6 is so cheap!!! Serving looks huge. I've seen the stall at Lot 10 Hutong but did not get to try it the couple of times I was there. Well, it's more comfortable there...and convenient too as I usually stayed at a hotel in Bukit Bintang. I'm not so fond of this side of KL, rather congested.
ReplyDeleteIt is better to take lrt to come to this place.
DeleteI love beef noodles.. Big portion too.. Look at the portion of minced meat..I like..
ReplyDeleteYou can order the big portion at MYR7.
DeleteNostalgia nostalgia. I have not eaten in this shop before (I don't eat beef, at least not in Malaysia), but I know it is super famous. Always walk pass it as a kid when I got off the bus at Jalan Hang Lekiu and walk to Central Market..
ReplyDeleteI guess you have not been to this area for many years now.
DeleteLook good! I love meat balls.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best!
Deleteah, this is one place that I frequent.. love their beef ball noodles but I find their noodles too "alkaline" for me so I always order beehoon only.. nice to go with the minced meat.. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the alkaline noodle.
DeleteI usually go there in the evening because there's a porridge stall opening outside and we can order both the porridge and noodles to share.. and nice is that the shop and the stall kind of "JT" so no worries about those nonsense you always hear in other places - sit here cannot order that, order this cannot sit there..
ReplyDeleteI have tapao from the porridge stall before.
Deleteand the best thing is that, I realised that their service has improved so much, more courteous and customer centric now, which is one good thing!! :)
ReplyDeleteNow that you mentioned it, I realise that it is true.
DeleteThis is my favorite beef ball and mince noodles place too! :)
ReplyDeleteI used to eat a lot at the original place (which you showed) in KL too! I think it's better than the one that opened in the Lot 10 Hutong food court.
Can't beat the original Soong Kee! I also tried the famous porridge "stall" in front of this place but I never liked porridge so the beef noodles is still the best for me.
I agree with you that somehow it is tastier at the original shop.
DeleteI used to eat the beef ball noodles and porridge but had not done so for a long time already since I don't go to that part of town anymore.
ReplyDeleteMany people seldom go to this area anymore.
Deleteyummy. I love it
ReplyDeleteMee too. :)
DeleteI love beef noodles! Is this the one in Petaling Street?
ReplyDeleteNo. About 5 minutes walk away from Petaling Street.
DeleteNot bad.. for RM6, you get the right portion.. the vege looks "long" enough too.. hahaha...
ReplyDeleteGood that they give some vege too.
DeleteYou've been eating there since you were 4. Wow. Long lasting eatery place means very good food served.
ReplyDeleteThe taste is just as good as I ate the beef meat balls when I was 4. It is indeed a long time ago.
DeleteAh yes yes, this is the type I was recommending at Ave K food court. And I used to have it at Hutong too.
ReplyDeleteMany stalls sell this type of beef noodle but none is as good so I try to only eat Soong Kee's version if I can help it because other versions just do not taste good to me.
