Not taufufah la. This is made with custard I suspect. Taufufah is made with gypsum. Taste is different. Actually both have their own distinct taste. Not tasteless lah.
Oh, it's not? Sure looks like one bcoz of its white colour. When you say soya pudding, I immediately thought of tau fu fah. http://www.anncoojournal.com/2012/03/soya-beancurd-pudding.html
From the looks and the name, we wouldn't think of it being made with custard powder though ;) How is the taste different?
New style chendol! Looks yummy! =)
ReplyDeleteIt is tasty!
DeleteYummzz, looks like caramel pudding.. Very delicious looking pudding, creamy and milky..Looks really soft, sweet and good..
ReplyDeleteIf you like egg custard pudding you will like this. :)
DeleteLooks good. I would love to have that, perhaps without the cendol.
ReplyDeleteYou don't like the taste of cendol?
DeleteTaufu fah with cendol.. I cannot imagine how the taste will be like. Both are pretty much tasteless by themselves. The presentation looks good though.

Deletesoya pudding means taufu fah?? aiyoh, Cendol taufu fah, something new to me but I definitely find it delicious and wanna try!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThey don't taste the same. Made using different methods and ingredients.
DeleteFor a moment there i thought what is Soya pudding. Saw RG and SK comments baru tau it is taufu fa. Hmm....two in one...TTF with cendol. Looks good
ReplyDeleteNo. Soya pudding is not taufufah. Made with different things and taste different.
DeleteAn all Malaysian fusion dish? :D Never had it (together) before. I love tau fu fah and I love cendol, so this is a perfect marriage of the two!
ReplyDeleteThis is not tau fu fah. Not made with gypsum but with custard powder.

It is very much harder than taufufah. Texture is like soft jelly and not taufufah texture.
Deletei like the soya pudding but i dislike cendol on top...Do they have plain version?
ReplyDeleteI think you can ask for the cendol to be omitted.
DeleteThis is definitely an innovative dessert to siram chendol over soya pudding! Slurrpss!
ReplyDeleteSome cafes now pour red beans or black jelly over it.
A lot of creative ways of new desserts.
DeleteBlack serving plate is a good touch. Makes it look classy.
ReplyDeleteseems that way but I don't think they planned it this way. Just a happy coincidence.
DeleteLook like it is very refreshing!
ReplyDeleteI like the taste. Not as refreshing as lime or lemon juice though.
