3 veggies + 1 meat dish...like a feast! I seldom take tempe coz i dun quite like the taste, I'm more accustomed to Chinese veggie dish....those with taupok or beancurd skin..hehe
My daughter loves tempeh - would eat that at one ayam penyet place here. Seeing that, the mum went and bought a block of it home - fresh, unfried...and no prize for guessing what happened to it in the end. Hehehehehehe!!!! The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
I don't like tempeh.. Dunno why, maybe its the taste.. I like anything soy - soya bean, taufu, taupok, taukua, foo pei, fuzhuk, you name it, but not tempeh.. hmmmpphh...
For me, tempeh is an acquired taste, and needs constant maintenance. I used to hate tempeh until I was in college, that time the gf loves it, so I eat it for a while and then started to like it. Nowadays I cannot tahan that taste again.
It can for me. Same goes for durians. I don't really like durians as a kid, then suddenly I loved it through secondary school and college. Nowadays I can only take 1 or 2 pieces before giving up..
i didn't know tempeh is made of fermented beans, i thought just beans, haha.. thanks for telling this..
your lunch looks scrumptious huh?? 1 meat and 3 veggie.. usually when i have chap fan, i'd go for 1 meat 1 veggie and then either 1 egg or tofu kind of stuffs.. ooh RM7, nowadays chap fan are no longer cheap also huh??
I only got to know and try out tempeh when I'm in aust! Brought my Eric to try Indonesian food and we tried them. It's quite nice when fried n cook with sambal. =)
I love tempeh. That's the reason I love eating lontong. Come to think of it, I've not eaten lontong or tempeh in a very long time. Sobs! Must go look for one this weekend :)
