Ah Kon Ginger Fried Rice (Small portion) - MYR17.90 - this fried rice has more ginger in it. If you want less ginger, you should order the Ah Por Ginger Fried Rice. We also ordered one bowl of plain rice - MYR2.20 to share.
Ah Kon Fan Shu leaves (Small portion) - MYR15.90 - stir fried with belacan. We requested it to be less salty and it was. If you prefer the sweet version, you could order the Ah Por Fan Shu leaves.
Double boiled Wai San and Ginseng soup - MYR17.90 - tasty soup.

Huh? Is this new, or am I outdated on this again? I thought this restaurant only exist in Singapore. My default lunch place when I transit in Changi Airport.
ReplyDeleteOpened a few years ago, end of 2011 to be exact. I used to eat this samsui chicken dish in Singapore so was happy that they are here too.
DeleteI thought its a shop selling 'taan thong' kinda thing.. Hmm food looks interesting but kinda pricey.. Ya wor the minced meat in the rice looks raw maybe coz of the camera lighting..
ReplyDeleteHahaha I can't remember the actual colour of the meat now.
DeleteThat ginseng soup looks very good to me, and their towels packing are nice!
ReplyDeleteTasty soup - yes. :)
DeleteName reminds me of Soup Kitchen...
ReplyDeleteHahaha I don't think they will be pleased to hear this.
DeleteAih? This is in 1-Utama? Did not notice it before. The chicken is kinda pricey but I guess that's they way it is with such restaurants. As long as the food is good, it is worth the indulgence!
ReplyDeleteYes, in 1-Utama, next to Paparich. I think the price is still cheaper than going to Singapore to eat this dish at the same Soup restaurant.
DeleteThe chicken reminds me of the Soup Restaurant I have taken in Singapore.. so I guess either one is the branch.. I think there are more than one Soup Restaurant in Singapore.. Nice name.. Ah Kon, Ah Por... hahaha.. cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is the branch. There are many branches in Singapore that I am not sure which one is the main one. I used to eat the samsui chicken in Soup Restaurant in Suntec City back in 2004 so I am happy to see a branch here in PJ.
DeleteMun, you know what I like the most. The towel! hhhaha. The packaging is nice.
ReplyDeleteHayley thinks that they are nice too! :)
