Rice Wine Chicken Mee Sua - MYR22.90 - can't really see much from the photo but there were chicken pieces, fried egg, black fungus (黑木耳) with mee suah in the bowl. I think the price is due to the good rice wine that they used for this dish.
Cantonese Style Stir Fried Noodle (Hor Fun - Wat Tan Hor) - MYR15.90 - a good place to have this if you suddenly crave for wat tan hor while shopping here.
Cendol - MYR5.5 - doesn't look that nice but I can assure you that it is very tasty due to the "correct gula Melaka" used.

Hurhurhur... what time were you there? I passed by that shop just now around 3PM.
ReplyDeleteDuring lunch time. :)
DeleteWine mee sua reminds me of STP, hehe.. But never seen fried egg inside the soup before, usually hard boiled eggs.. Ooohh cendol.. My favourite.. By the way today we went to Midvalley in the morning.. Had brunch in Coliseum.. Then back by afternoon.. Fast?
ReplyDeleteOk, not that fast. I have not been to Coliseum to eat yet. Will you please blog about it?
DeleteRM22.90!!!!!! *faints*
ReplyDeleteI can tell it's not the same as the Foochow ones we have here - we use the traditional Foochow red wine not any rice wine. Had something like this in KL, Jalan Alor - it was sweet...not to my liking and I ended up drunk from half a bowl (could not finish...not nice). I think our Foochow red wine would not have that intoxicating effect.
DeleteThe cendol sure sticks out like a sore thumb beside the Oriental dishes.
DeleteYes you are right. This is not the Same as the Foochow red wine mee suah. There is a specialty Foochow eatery in pudu that serves the ang chou mee suah.
DeleteThis yellow Chinese wine mee suah is a Cantonese dish I believe.
Ooh haven't been there in such a long time. Cendol good ah? OK *put on my list*.
ReplyDeleteYes I think the cendol is tasty.
Deletewhen you have time do visit restaurant ri karak. They have cendol which the gula melaka they gv separately. Can put up to own taste
ReplyDeleteWhere is the restaurant?
