Fish fillet with bittergourd mee hoon - MYR7 - some people may think this noodle is too bland but I have fine with it. I only wish there were more pieces of fish fillets.
My colleagues brought me to somewhere in SS2 famous for its fish slice noodles.. 3 of us ate 3 bowls of fish slice noodles (with fish cakes and fish balls), 3 leong sui and a plate of fried fish cake.. RM70++ !! Kill me !!
okay wat, i don't find this noodle bland at all, instead quite nice and "ching".. but i usually have it with pork instead of fish fillet.. maybe i should try that next time, because by default it's pork and only if i order fish paste (i think the stall has fish paste and not fish fillet).. but then RM7, wow, that's quite expensive, maybe they use good fish huh??
Oh the name of this noodle is bitter gourd fish fillet noodle so of course have to include bitter gourd. For those who don't enjoy bitter gourd please don't order this. :)
For RM7 it is a good price already.. I like my soup noodles to be like this too.. more greens than meat also fine with me.. and also less noodles.. hahahaa...
This is nice with clear soup. I used to go to this hawker stall which served similar type of noodles but without fillet but pork and thinly sliced bitter gourd noodles. I like it very much.

ReplyDeleteIt is ok with me too. This fish is better than dory fish.
DeleteSo much vege on top, I always prefer they give noodles more instead of the side dish, hehe!! =]
ReplyDeleteThe noodles are hidden beneath, quite a lot. :)
DeleteLooks nice that soup. Maybe need some soya sauce and chillies to jazz it up a bit!
ReplyDeleteYou need soy sauce and chillies for this kind of "ching" noodles soup? I like it this way.
DeleteI dont mind trying this. Interesting to add bittergourd in the soup. Not everyone enjoy bittergourd.

ReplyDeleteSo far I have not come across pork and bitter gourd noodles.
DeleteBitter gourd noodles, getting very popular here too. What fish do they use? I don;t like the frozen fish fillet - dory.
ReplyDeleteI will ask them next time what fish it is. I know it is not dory because it is much nicer than dory.
