This brand used to be my favourite butter cookies but too bad, I don't quite like to eat butter cookies now as I prefer savoury food to sweet food.
There are 5 different shapes - with raisins, with sugar on top, with dessicated coconut, or just plain. I used to like them all equally.
Ingredients: wheat flour, butter, sugar, desiccated coconut, blackcurrants, salt, raising agent.
This brand is still my favourite. I tried several others but they seemed to be too sweet.
ReplyDeleteIf compared to others, I also agree that this is the best.
DeleteWah the moment I see the picture in my thumbnail I go crazy liao.. I can finish the whole tin ! I love butter cookies to the max !
ReplyDeleteWhole tin in one sitting? No joking!?
DeleteEvery time I eat this, I would set out to eat 1 piece per shape and then close the lid, but every time my subconscious mind will control my hand to mistakenly take wrongly, I would end up eating 2 pieces on 1 of the shapes, then to balance out I need to eat 2 pieces per shape. Am I the only one who does that? :P
ReplyDeleteHahaha, your subconscious mind knows you want to eat more pieces. :D
DeleteAwww....my favorite butter cookies and each time I will be looking forward for CNY celebration cos my aunty will buy this for us.
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the one with raisins but my better half hates that. So we will not be fighting for it.hhaha
He does not like raisins in general?
DeleteToo butter-rich for me.. :p I prefer those homemade butter cookies... nowadays this tub is not cheap too...
ReplyDeleteVery butter rich - true.
Deletemy kids loved them very much when they were young.
ReplyDeleteDo they still like them now?
DeleteThis cookies are so much cheaper in Denmark, but I din't buy it when I was there last year, not very keen on cookies....
ReplyDeleteOh so you are more of a muffin person than cookie person, :)
Deleteah, this Kjeldsens butter cookies is just CLASSIC!! errr, but i think many still do not know the brand name, but with its signature blue tin, everyone knows.. and it's such a popular gift when you visit relatives too!!
ReplyDeleteNow other brands also use blue tins so sometimes accidentally can buy the wrong one.
Deletemy favorite would be the one in pretzels shape, and also the one with raisins.. errr, wait, aren't they all taste the same?? muahaha~~ :D
ReplyDeleteHahaha you are right, the basic taste is the same but with raisins or sugar on top the taste is slightly enhanced.
DeleteYah, I used to like this..but later on I found them too sweet also! =[
ReplyDeleteI guess when we grow up we don't like sweet food that much.
DeleteMy husband likes. I dont really like
ReplyDeleteDoes Small kucing like these butter cookies?
DeleteI like them, but encountered a few times opening a brand-new tin with cookies already "masuk-angin". Put me off coz they aren't cheap at all.
ReplyDeleteUsually there will be a long piece of cellophane tape sealing any gaps between the cover and the container to prevent "masuk angin". So was there no cellophane tape or did the cellophane tape not work?
DeleteUsed to love this too. They certainly do not come cheap, not anymore. I prefer Scottish shortbread though...and there are other nicer ones as well these days.
ReplyDeleteScottish shortbread as in Walkers shortbread? Yes, those are very nice too!
DeleteThis is the best Danish butter cookies... I love it too and seeing the tin makes me excited hehe. It's usually cheaper during the festive season in Msia. Over here in China, the price is 3x more expensive. The import duty here is very high so Malaysians are actually quite lucky to be able to enjoy imported products that are relatively much cheaper.
ReplyDeleteOh is it? Then better buy only when you are back here to visit.
