Ondeh Ondeh Ice Cream

Saturday 2.oct.21 is an extremely long day for him. He just got home at 4 am Sunday 3.oct.21 after one of the elderlies need to stay over at HDU. 

The day started off with the completion of carrying things. Then it was lunch and dinner for the elderlies. At around 7 pm, seeing slurred speech and numbness they went to the regular hospital ER only to be turned away because it was full so they went to a private hospital's ER where the dedicated doctors and nurses there attended to them before a deposit of ten. 

As it is pandemic time, no visits are allowed, video calls can be arranged so in the days ahead, the two kids have to take turn staying over with the lone elderly at home while keeping in touch with the elderly under observation via video calls.

*** Nestle New Ondeh Ondeh Ice Cream ***

Saw the adverts for this new ondeh ondeh ice cream stick. My friend likes the taste a lot so we bought one stick to try. Price is MYR 3.20 nett for one ice cream bought at Family Mart.

The slightly sticky core has a very nice and fragrant gula melaka taste. The outer layer of greenish ice cream tastes slightly of pandan. I find it nice but he doesn't like it because he says the greenish part is creamy as if it has milk in it. I couldn't detect any milk taste but then I am fine to drink milk so milk taste is acceptable to me.

Cross section. I will eat this ice cream again. Tasty!

    Hope everything is fine with the elderly. The milky taste could be santan?

      Ya, one the surface, the elderly looks and talks ok now because each transient ischemic attack takes place a few minutes only and then is ok so doctors can only monitor to make sure not reoccur very frequently. Difficult to prevent because it is very little bleeding in the brain and the age is too advanced. Thanks for your concern. Maybe the milky taste is santan but I cannot tell. Maybe you can try and let me know, thanks. 😊
