On Thursday 28.oct.21, he is the driver for kid 1 and the elderly to where the two rivers meet to check on the content of the box. Sat in the idling car and wait by roadside from 10.30 am to 11.30 am because need to wait for them to download the app and make the appointment on the spot. Ordered lunch direct delivered to the fav kid at home so all of them ate lunch together when back. I stay home and ate one big fridge meal the whole day.
6.29 pm - his dinner with his favourite watercress vege ribs soup from New Lucky Coffee Shop in Sri Petaling. He doesn't boil this soup at home because the watercress vege needs to be cleaned carefully which takes time. This set meal is approved by him to be in the list of food for the elderlies.
4.26 pm - soup, meat and rice set for dinner but got remaining meat for the next day.
Friday 29.oct.21 8.07 am - he used the remaining rice and meat trotter with gravy to cook with vit instant noodles for both our breakfast. Taste good with dong quai herb aka Angelica sinensis.
10.32 am - lunch for all of them from Jazz eatery cos there is Cashback. Feedback: The mango salad is too spicy. The ginger onion fish paste rice has too thick starchy gravy.
Marmite chicken rice and sweet sour pork rice taste fine.
2.50 pm - my only meal of the day on Thursday. All the remaining food from Wednesday direct from the fridge. Mix and match! Full until the next day.
Kid 1 doesn't drive too? kesian your spouse gotta do all the driver's job. you mix and match meal very lavish! got coney dog, rice, fries and noodles....so variety! feels like eating in buffet.
ReplyDeleteDoes drive but need to accompany elderly into the building for the box and in town, no where to park so need a driver to wait for them. Ya, real kesian as he doesn't like to drive.

ReplyDeleteYa, it is like a big buffet meal. Very satisfying and filling. Like you, sometimes you also eat one big meal for the whole day, before the pandemic.

DeleteMeanwhile, I'm finally back in KL after more than a year, and I also mix and match my meals the past couple of days, as in, mix and match between hard boiled eggs, cucumber, carrot, tomato, and oats only. My mom would get rid of any attempt to mix anything other than these zzz...

DeleteTender loving and care for elderlies is precious. Watercress is good, just kind of tedious in cleaning. Sometimes ending up more food of previous days to eat.
ReplyDeleteYa, children and parents must bond well from young to maintain the loving relationship when parents are old. I am just too lazy to wash watercress vege. I am the penyapu at home. All remaining food I sapu.

I don't notice that water cress is bitter. So far didn't taste the bitter taste. Sometimes the kids will cook but faster and easier to just buy. Sometimes got put in freezer but the elderlies don't like that so we try not to put in freezer.
