Bye Homemade Fish Ball House

Previously I mentioned that I hope Homemade Fish Ball House would last but sad to say when we went there yesterday (Sunday 6 Sep 2020 d173), the eatery was replaced by Home Town Hot Pot which was closed so we went to Pakkopi Kaw which was a few doors away. So now, we will need to find a new eatery to have Kai si hor fun.

So we ate here instead. Dine-in 8 because we were quite hungry at around 2 pm. No social distancing as all tables were placed as before and all fully occupied but we sat at table 1 near the entrance. This eatery is not enclosed so the air circulation should be better than an enclosed air-conditioned place.

Wanton Mee in soup MYR 7.30 nett, roast chicken and char siew rice MYR 9.50 nett. The cold white coffee MYR 3.60 nett was served in a takeaway cup due to the unscheduled water cut in Klang valley so we took it home and didn't drink it in the eatery. Food tastes acceptable.

Total price is MYR 20.40 nett, cash payment. Our food was served at 2.14 pm and we finished eating the food at 2.25 pm. Spent 11 minutes to eat and walked back to our car immediately after that.

8.35 am - pork Yee Mee MYR 6.50 nett from Swee Heng bought the previous day shared by 2 pax.

9.45 am - my portion of the pork Yee Mee with very minimal soup and an added egg with fully cooked yolk. Dinner was RT bread, blueberry cheese tart and kaya puff because there was a long queue at TK.

  1. Glad the food's o.k. Yes, I would want to sit outside too...especially if it is quite packed inside...or I'd go elsewhere.

    1. We would have gone elsewhere if there is no available seats near the entrance.

  3. Sad to know that some businesses simply could not weather the Covid-19 storm.

Nope. Will try to avoid restaurants or eateries which do not observe or practise safe physical distancing.

    1. Many still operate as before but maybe what I consider to be not observing safe physical distancing, u deemed to be observing physical distancing.

  4. So sad that some eateries serving good food could not last. Due to SOP, some eateries have small tables which can only accommodate 2 customers and more than 2, have to sit separately.

    1. I don't think it is helpful to distance people from the same group when they are sitting at the same table because most likely the same group sit in the same car without wearing masks inside the car. Furthermore, even when the one metre distance at the same table same group ppl will talk with gusto to each other with saliva flying. Lucky no one has it else all close contact will kena just like how the clusters in north develop. When in same group, one meter distance doesn't make much of a difference if it is the mutated strain.

  5. I'm sort of 'immune' now to the need for social distancing at shops. Coz we still walk as closely as before otw there. But if there should be an outbreak then I'm sure I'd be glad if SOP was followed.
