To my surprise, I found a big piece of fish beneath the mee hoon. I requested for mee hoon (rice vermicelli) because I wanted the mee hoon to soak up all the creamy laksa broth so that the mee hoon can be softer and full of flavours from the broth. Delicious! So I finished the whole bowl including all the broth. No MSG is used because I was not thirsty at all after eating this lemak laksa.
The menu consists of only one page inclusive of drinks. Please click on the above photo to view a larger image. I will try the Lam Mee, Mee Hoon Siam and Assam Laksa next time.
Authentic Nyonya dishes from Aunty Sue's family's recipes with fresh ingredients and no MSG at all.
My friends who ordered assam laksa and lam mee are satisfied with their meals too.
Clean interior.

I like creamy broth but not too sour
ReplyDeleteThis is not that sour.
DeleteLaksa looks good. Name sounds like Holy Cow! :D
ReplyDeleteThey should have consulted you when they were deciding what name to put. :)
DeleteSomething like Thai curry. So many spices and herbs in it.
ReplyDeleteNo idea because I have not eaten Thai curry before.
DeleteI love this type of lemak laksa. Here we call it Siamese Laksa. Now I am hungry.
ReplyDeleteOh, so it is similar to Thai laksa.
DeleteIngredients look generous. Quite big portion of fish. xoxo
ReplyDeleteTrue.

ReplyDeleteYes, with your brother too. :)
DeleteIt sure look good!
ReplyDeleteSure does! :)
DeleteThat's a big piece of fish! The Petaling St laksa at the market used to have this, but I haven't been there for donkey years and not sure if it's still like this.
ReplyDeleteI have not been to that market for a long time now though I have been to Petaling Street recently.
