Ears

This is a plate of slices of braised pigs' ear/s because I do not know how many ears are in this plate. That does sound awful doesn't it, to be eating ears. I tried a slice, it was crunchy but soft on the outside and the taste is of the gravy it was braised in so I believe people eat pigs' ears for the texture and not the taste.
Price: MYR 5.66++ (MYR 6.56 nett after 10% service charge and 6% SST).

2 pieces of pan fried pork dumpling at MYR 4.72++ (MYR 5.47 nett) if ordered with a main dish. Previously I tried the pan fried prawn dumplings.

Deep Fried Lemongrass chicken noodles at MYR 15.85++ (MYR 18.38 nett). The lemongrass taste was not strong enough. There are a few selection for noodles and for this dish, we chose thick rice noodles (mixian).

HK Cart Noodles Spicy Soup at MYR 13.96++ (MYR 16.19 nett). The soup was not very spicy and the ingredients are an unusual combination of braised chicken wings, beancurd puffs (tofu puff), fish meatballs, and daikon with our chosen broad wanton noodles.

Fish Paste, Fish meatballs with broad wanton noodles at MYR 13.02++ (MYR 15.10 nett).

Total price for 4 pax: MYR 67.20 nett. HoMinSan at Midvalley is a place to go for noodles (they do have rice meals here) but I think they do use MSG in their soup because we do feel quite thirsty after our meals here.

  2. I am not fond of the ears as that white thing in the middle is quite hard.

  8. Pig's ears, my favourite. I always take a portion when we dine at our usual chap fan store. My boys love it too. It's rich with collagen so it's actually a beauty food.
