Pineapple Bolo Bun

On Thursday 26.jan.2023, kid 1 is on replacement day duty for the Elderlies' lunch so he bought dinner from Hiong Mei chapfan eatery which reopens today for the Elderlies.

*** Wed 25.jan.2023 ***

1038 - the Nanyang Cafe pavilion Bukit Jalil menu says this is a pineapple bun with pineapple paste so I expect it to have pineapple jam fillings. A glass of hot Cham drink to be shared by 2 pax.

1055 - the fillings turned out to be tiny pineapple cubes mixed with smashed up buttery egg custard. Quite ok.

1040 - 8 wantons in soup.

1042 - pork chop bun. I requested for no mayo because I want to keep the buns for the next day and just eat the pork chop.

1045 - just eat the pork chop.

Total price for 4 items is MYR 52.90 nett at Nanyang Cafe pavilion Bukit Jalil.

*** Thu 26.jan.2023 ***

1101 - he heated up all the remaining braised pork trotter and added in tea eggs for his lunch.

1556 - he cooked all the remaining soyknots with cabbage and wax sausages for his early dinner. I helped him to eat half of this dish.

1752 - I ate all the remaining rice from Tue, curry chicken from Mon and buns from wed.

  1. You turned the burger meal into a 'western' one! I like how you got the tomato and lettuce to play a role on the plate.

    1. Thanks. Yes I prefer eating it that way. They should just offer a dish like that without the buns at the same price. 😀

    1. It is sweet right? They served it with butter I think.

    2. Butter provided, but i did not use. The plain polo bun is not sweet at all.
