The Long Wait

On Monday 4.jul.22, he accompanied one elderly to the hospital for the regular doctor visit and waited there from 8 am to 2 pm because there are 82 patients in front of them in the queue. Parked at an independent car park for MYR 11 because the car park of the hospital is fully occupied.

6.57 am - pork mihun soup MYR 8 from mountain Hill eatery bought the previous day. He ate his breakfast early because of the hospital visit. He added lettuce to the mihun. He kept some mihun and ingredients for me which I ate for lunch at 1.24 pm. I like the very soft mihun a lot.

2.30 pm - he ate this char siew rice lunch when he got back home. The peanuts are hidden underneath the cucumbers.

10.45 am - I ordered this shopeefood delivery at 10.30 am ish for his lunch from Fatt Kee eatery. After all discounts and shopee coins redemption, the price is MYR 14.74 nett.

5.40 pm - my dinner of the dry beef broad wanton noodles MYR 9 bought from the wanton noodles stall at tuck Tuck tei coffee shop on the previous day. Won't buy it again unless there are people to share it with me because the portion is too much for me but the beef shanks taste good. The braised egg is from the chapfan stall of Tuck Tuck Tei coffee shop.

  2. Long wait is the usual thing at government hospitals. I really pity the old folks having to sit around for long hours.

  3. I thought general hospitals have appointments for the elders.. anyway, nowadays even private hospitals, the wait is very long too... the other day, I waited nearly two hours to get my check up done.

    1. Yes it is with appointment. With appointment, also need to wait cos all 82 people in front also got appointment on the same day.

  4. It is very tiring for the elderlies and waste of time for those accompanying them to wait for so many hours. I dread going to clinics and hospitals because of the long waiting hours but when there is a need, there is no choice.

    1. I agree that it is a waste of time and very very tiring. Just leave it in the hands of the Lord.

  5. Oh my 82 patients! Would it have been possible to go first, get the appointment and later only bring the elderlies there?

    1. No, the elderly need to give urine to be tested before seeing the doctor.

    2. The appointment day is already given. Time has to wait for the turn because it depends on how long each person takes to see the doctor so they don't give appointment time.

  6. So has to be there to wait because sometimes they don't follow order when calling the number.
