Roti King Egg Tart

On Thursday 14.Jul.22, went to two coffee shops in Sri Petaling: Chopsticks and 126 Kopitiam; to buy chap fan for the Elderlies.

*** Egg Tart ***

This egg tart from Roti King costs MYR 2.30 and the egg custard is quite similar to Portuguese egg tarts as in it is firmer. I prefer it to be softer.

*** Chap fan ***

11.34 am chapfan without fan from 126 Kopitiam: 2 braised hardboiled eggs, 4 soyknots, celery+cauliflower and spinach for MYR 8 nett. Can tell from the taste that these soyknots are those dried soyknots because there is a smokey fragrant taste.

11.34 am - his chapfan from Chopsticks coffee shop: minced meat patty, rice, leeks and yin choy. He bought two packs of 2 veges, 1 meat with rice for the Elderlies' lunch. Total price of all 3 packs: MYR 19

    after trying out all the chap fan stalls in SP, which one do you prefer?

      He prefers Fatty Mixed Rice now because there are many dishes there that he hasn't tried yet.

    Chap fan still the best value food. With ongoing MCO I haven't bought chap fan now for years already.

      Coz when dining out with the family tend to go for nice places. I'd happily have chapfan if I'm eating out alone.

      Of course whole family dining out got to go for more expensive places than chap fan. But you also don't need to dine out alone nowadays, is it?
