Simple Garden Lei Cha

On Saturday 16.jul.22, ordered two Foodpanda deliveries for lunch and went to Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling to buy dinner for the Elderlies.

*** Simple Garden Cafe ***

1 pm - a big thanks to NuxV for reviewing this lei Cha in her post here. This lei Cha tastes very good. After drinking it, there is a nice aftertaste of mint and basil herbs in the mouth, very fragrant. Need to stir it before drinking else the water will separate from blended herbs as in the left photo. Right photo shows the lei Cha after it has been stirred.

The Brown rice, peanuts, tofu and vegetables for the lei Cha. Just pour the lei Cha into the container and mix it well before eating. Yummy! Portion is quite big for the default size. Will definitely buy this lei Cha again but need to share the big portion with a friend.

11.30 am - also bought vegetarian oyster mushrooms Mongolian sauce rice. The rice is brown rice. The soft Brown rice was served to the elderlies for their lunch. The Mongolian gravy is a bit spicy, a bit sweet and appetising so it is wasteful when I had to discard half of it because I don't want to consume so much gravy. I am not sure what ingredients are used to prepare this Mongolian gravy. There are a few pieces of tomatoes and cucumbers in the Mongolian gravy.

11.30 am - sweet and sour vegetarian oyster mushrooms brown rice. There are many pieces of tomatoes and cucumbers in the sweet and sour gravy. The soft Brown rice is also given to the Elderlies.

There are too many pieces of deep fried oyster mushrooms so I kept them in the fridge for another day. The deep fried oyster mushrooms are supposed to be soaked in the gravy to soften them because they are quite chewy. Suitable for those diners with strong teeth who like chewing on thick meaty pieces of deep fried oyster mushrooms soaked in gravy because they would feel like chewing on meat.

12 noon - also bought ginger egg soup Mee suah noodles. There are many strips of ginger in the egg omelette. I like the taste. Kept this dish for dinner, the next day.

6 pm Sunday 17.jul.22 - the soup for the Mee suah has many vegetables in it.

6 pm Sunday 17.jul.22 - carrots, wood fungus, cabbage, choy sum, mushrooms and ginger omelette in the Mee suah soup. Suitable for those diners who like to eat lots of vegetables in their soup noodles.

11.20 am - 4 food items from Simple Garden Cafe Sri Petaling at MYR 40.26 inclusive of panda pro foc delivery fees after all discounts. Average is MYR 20.07 per food item.

11.16 am - received this big pack. The gravy split out a bit from the food containers into the yellow plastic bag.

10.36 am - placed order for food. Used All Day promo code for MYR 7 off.

*** Lunch for the Elderlies ***

12 noon - 3 dishes shared by 4 pax for lunch and 1 papaya ribs soup shared by 3 pax for lunch from Canton Kitchen.

11.47 am - received the food from Canton Kitchen Happy Garden in this bag. There is a bit of spillage as the inner side of this bag is wet.

11.13 am - ordered 4 food items at MYR 59.30 inclusive of panda pro free delivery and after using All Day promo code for MYR 7 off.

*** Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling ***

4.30 pm - went to buy dinner chap fan for the Elderlies at Fatty Mixed Rice. He wanted to buy wat tan hor yin yong at Good Tea eatery a few doors away from Fatty Mixed Rice but that stall is closed for evenings, only open for business in the morning till afternoon.

5.17 pm - He bought two packs of chap fan for the Elderlies at a total of MYR 15 nett. Since he didn't get to buy wat tan hor ying yong then he bought chapfan at MYR 8.50 for his own dinner:

2. Minced Meat petai
3. Lotus roots, cashew nuts, mushrooms, carrots

  1. My teeth is no long strong enough to chew on big or thick pieces of meat. All due to receding gum.

  3. I love oyster mushroom. Will usually pick that when having vegetarian meal. They usually deep fried the oyster mushrooms, very tasty.

  4. I have forgotten about lei cha! I used to enjoy the one from Judy's Hakka Lei Cha. I can still find them at the coffee shop nearby. Must go and eat one of these day. Hope it is still as good as before.

  6. I quite like lei cha too. The flavour isn't that strong so I'm surprised quite a number of people can't stand it.
