Best Prawn Wantons

This was Dine-in 25 on the previous Sunday. Won't be dining in until the situation improves. Beef tendon dry wanton noodles.

Beef tendon wanton noodles in soup with extra beef stew gravy. Two sui gao are underneath the noodles. I ate one sui gao and can taste the peanut taste in it as mentioned in the menu that peanut is used in the fillings of the sui gao. Tasty!

One whole prawn in one wanton. Looks like a goldfish.

A bowl of prawn Wantons. Tasty! Clear soup but full of umami.

Total bill is MYR 54.75 nett. The food at Mak Chee has improved as we find the food tasty.

  1. Do you eat your crackers and biscuits dry like that or you dip them into milk or coffee and eat?

  2. Situation all right here in Sibu but doesn't look that great elsewhere - there's this threat of declaring MCO and making people stay home once again! Your prawn wantons are real beauties! So plump!

  5. Food looks so much nicer for the dine in compared to takeaway. The one time I went to Mak Chee after that to buy Rotiboy to fill up the still-not-full stomach!

    1. Should buy extra sui gao and prawn Wantons to fill up the stomach, not only Noodle.

    3. I only go there for the beef tendons because not many places sell beef tendons.

  6. The prawn wantons did looked like fishes. Swimming around. Lol.

The situation starts to soar after the Sabah state election and now Sarawak ban those coming in from Sabah and Labuan and impose strict SOP for those travelling from Peninsular to Sarawak. Sigh. This is prevention measure by the state.

    1. Yes, they do look like fish. Good to be careful to be safe so the measures by your state is to protect all of you.

  7. I used to love Mak Chee blindly when they newly opened with mile long queues. Then I woke up to realise their menu sucks.

Now I should revisit since you say the food has improved.

    1. I mean their prawn Wantons and beef tendons. The noodles I prefer them to be softer. If you go, don't have high expectations then you won't be disappointed. Maybe I never eat out too long so am easily satisfied.
