KFC Chicken (Original)
Texas Chicken (Original and Spicy)
Verdict: I prefer the Spicy Texas Chicken (which is not as spicy as KFC spicy chicken) to the original one and the taste of the Original KFC chicken is better than the Original Texas Chicken. However, the Texas chicken (breast meat) is more succulent than KFC chicken meat.
Here, it's Sugar Bun VS KFC.
ReplyDeleteThere is a Sugar Bun here in Kajang. Not sure is it the same one as yours.
DeleteOh! I must try Texas Chicken then! what sauce did you get ?
ReplyDeleteOh, there is Texas Chicken near your place? I only use ketchup (tomato sauce).
DeleteI like both.. Still prefer KFC but I like Texas's biscuits.. Hmm I like both, cannot decide, haha
ReplyDeleteI like the taste of KFC original.
DeleteThanks for the review! Now I want to have fried chicken for breakfast. Lol
ReplyDeleteYou can fry your own chicken, right? Since you are good in cooking.
DeleteNever had Texas Chicken before.....not a big fan of fast food fried chicken (especially KFC). If I had to choose one...maybe Wendy's ;)
ReplyDeleteYou mean there is a difference between fast food fried chicken and fried chicken in restaurants? I thought all fried chicken are deep fried chicken so should be the same level of unhealthiness no matter where.
DeleteNot many Wendy's outlet around.
In terms of unhealthiness, of course it's the same lah...but, in terms of taste, of course different...both between restaurants ones and among the fast food fried chicken franchises.
DeleteHahaha, I would not know because we only order steamed chicken or roasted chicken in restaurants, never deep fried chicken.
DeleteFor me sure want to taste the texas chicken cause never had that before...
ReplyDeleteNext time you are in midvalley, can go and try.
DeleteHaih, makes me feel like trying it, but it is only available in KL now, and I can hardly justify having fast food when I go back :/
ReplyDeleteJust eat once when you are in KL should be ok with your mom gua.
DeleteHave not eaten Texas Chicken yet, but would want to try it one day.
ReplyDeleteIf ever you are in KL.
DeleteI had Texas Chicken in Singapore many years ago and it made an impression on me. I liked it. Don't know about now.
ReplyDeleteI think your own fried chicken would be better?
DeleteI don't like KFC anymore, not like those days anymore... last time I remember chewing on the backbones and they were so tasty then... Ipoh doesnt' have Texas Chicken yet...
ReplyDeleteMaybe they will open in Ipoh soon. KFC is still ok for me although I eat them once in a blue moon now.
DeleteIn US, Texas Chicken is known as Church's Chicken. The pieces are huge with a thick crust as if the chicken are on steroids. My family prefers Popeye's Chicken Spicy. I think there's Popeyes in KL.
ReplyDeleteYes, there used to be a Popeyes outlet in Midvalley but it has closed and I think the space now is occupied by Texas Chicken. How ironic! I have not eaten Popeyes Chicken before.
Deletei prefer KFC original chicken with the size of Texas chicken + KFC coleslaw + Kenny Rogers mashed potato + Texas biscuit ....ahh...perfect combination if such thing happen!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have it all figured out. :)
DeleteAh I passed by TC twice recently. Was tempted to go in but Chinese food-loving hubby always chose Zun.
ReplyDeleteWe just ate at Zun too. I also just bought only 2 pieces ala carte to try since we all ate other food already.
DeleteKFC is still my number 1! I enjoy both their original & crispy chicken :D
ReplyDeleteHah, KFC loves you then. :D
DeleteI always pick the spicy flavor one, hehe!! My favorite!! =]
ReplyDeleteYes, the Texas spicy chicken definitely tastes better than the original one.
