Free Flow Soft Drinks

I went to Reggae Mansion KL again with my friends this time for their set lunch which includes free flow soft drinks - there is a choice of coca-cola, sprite or ice lemon tea; soup of the day, dessert of the day, and a main dish - seafood marinara for MYR15.90 nett or grilled chicken on a hot plate for MYR19.90 nett so I chose the pasta dish. As I do not take soft drinks, I told the waiter, no drinks for me but still he brought me a glass of water which I did not touch at all because the source of the water is not known to me. On hindsight I should have requested him to take back the glass of water.

Soup of the day - mushroom soup with doughy bits in it

Seafood marinara - I like the marinara sauce because of the tomatoes in it but my friend dislikes it and I did not ask her why. The spaghetti is too al dente for me because I like it to be softer and the spaghetti just did not taste like durum wheat pasta to me. I felt it is more like Chinese noodle but then the generous amount of ingredients - 4 prawns, 3 squids, and 3 crab meat balls kind of made up for the taste of the pasta noodle.

A small thin slice of chocolate fudge

    1. This is just hot plate, not sizzling. I also don't like those food places that makes the whole person smelling of oil.

    1. For this set lunch, there are always two choices for the main dish and it changes each day. Yes, good deal.

  4. I can't handle no drinks with my meal, need something to wash down the flavors after each meal. The water is probably fine, they used the same water to cook your dishes anyway, if your dishes is edible, then why not the water, isn't it?

    1. Yes, most likely same water but those water used to cook the dishes are fully cooked to boiling point. This water in the glass may be straight from the tap (from the water tank), who knows?

  5. At a low price of RM15.90 for a drink, soup, main and dessert...we can't really expect much, I guess. When the mushroom soup have doughy bits in it, it's definitely from a can coz that's what happened to me when I make it at home (from a can as some bits just don't dissolve no matter how long I stir).

    1. I seldom drink soup from a can so I am not aware of this but most likely you are right.
