WG Fat Spoon Uptown

A bowl of kerabu meehoon (dry) at MYR 10.50+ (6% SST = MYR 11.13 nett). The mee hoon is springy and did not go soft even when I kept half for dinner.

Salmon Otak Otak with Daun Kaduk (Wild Pepper Leaf) at MYR 8.50+ (MYR 9.01 nett). It does not look nice but it is a little spicy and very tasty.

Can see the piece of salmon in this otak otak.

Price for 6 pax after 10% discount. 3 of my friends ordered from the set lunch special menu.

Fat Spoon at Damansara Uptown is closed on Mondays and has a sister restaurant in Desa Sri Hartamas named Mei by Fat Spoon.

Exterior - same row as The Good Batch.

  2. I bet I'd love the otak otak...and I'd want to try the ulam rice too, none here - tried cooking my own, turned out quite disappointing. :(

    1. You can try ulam rice again using the recipe by PH.

  3. I learnt the trick of keeping mee hoon springy for days from my late mum. They would soak with water and need to sun dry naturally a bit.

I must visit this Fat Spoon!

    1. They are near your area so it is easy for you to go and try. Thanks for the secret but I like mee hoon to be soft soft, hehehe.

  7. I love to eat otak-otak. As long as it is nice, I don't mind the colour. Not easy to find good otak-otak in Ipoh.
