After reading TM's post about the different colours of bell peppers, I saw them in the supermarket and bought them to try.
I just cut and eat them raw. The light and dark coloured bell peppers/capsicums do taste a bit different but I like the taste of all the different colours. My friend could not stand the raw taste and said they taste better when stir fried with garlic.
I don't think I can eat them raw like that, hee hee
ReplyDeleteIt is an acquired taste.
DeleteMy girl loves these, will buy the different colours but I do not think I've seen purple here. I'm like your friend - not a fan of the green taste - I did mention that in my reply to Libby's comment on my post today.
ReplyDeleteOh, so you can detect the green taste in the sauce then.
DeleteThe only time I eat raw was in salad. Usually I cook it.
ReplyDeleteSliced thinly in salad is tasty!
DeleteI prefer them raw than cooked. My favourite is the yellow. I haven't come across white ones nor tasted them yet.
ReplyDeleteI guess you will like the white ones if you like the yellow ones.
DeleteI can't eat them raw like that but would add them to salads. I have not had these white and purple ones yet.
ReplyDeleteIf you happen to see them I guess you would be buying them to try too next time.
DeleteI like them raw in salads. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, taste good in salads when raw.
DeleteI like the yellow one, it tastes sweeter than the green and red..
ReplyDeleteThen you would like the white ones too.
DeleteThey're pretty if you combine a few colours. I don't like the taste myself.
ReplyDeleteEven after they are fully cooked, you still don't like the taste?
