No, thanks. I hear the queues have moved to a new Hong Kong franchise, no more here. I'd settle for something a lot cheaper, never mind if it is not as nice...or I'd go and eat something else, more value for money.
Lao Sar Bao is a new item in Din Tai Fung? That's a surprise to me! I would've thought such a popular food item would be available since day 1 for such a popular restaurant chain...
Lao Sar Bao originates from Hong Kong. Din Tai Fung originates from Taiwan and I don't think the Din Tai Fung outlets in Taiwan or in other countries have Lao Sar Bao on their menu even now.

ReplyDeleteTrue, we can't eat everything in the whole wide world so we need to choose and pick what we eat.
DeleteLao Sar Bao - what kind of dimsum filling is that? here in the Philippines we call it siopao, is it the same there as well?
ReplyDeleteOh and the braised beef! i could die now mun!
The filling is molten salted egg yolk custard. The pao should be the same but with different fillings.

DeleteI just had Dim Sum 2 nights ago and over ate! Now guilty pangs.
ReplyDeleteI also had that bao and the salted egg was dripping hot. Wow! So nice.
No need to feel guilty, just exercise more. :)
