U Tub is the new TV?

When I was young, my parents always scold me for watching too much TV. Now I don't watch TV anymore in a sense. I watch U Tub instead as do some of you here and I like to find out what is popular in this country especially about food by looking at the section in the screen image below.

Look at the number of views for this video. Can't say that it is in the wrong section as it is about food too. :)

Just recently Netflix is available globally and offers a one-month free trial so I have been busy sampling movies and series. One particular British series  (2011) - Black Mirror (sci-fi) - stood out amongst the many series available. One episode covers one complete story. It explores the consequences of our world that is now almost addicted to social media and the internet. I find it quite frightening because of the possibility that it may be true.

    I'm a regular on youtube, never watch tv these days. Never bothered to check out Netflix either.

      Yes, can binge watch on Netflix so it is very convenient, no need to wait.

    I dare not re-activate my Netflix account. It will completely destroy my life in terms of doing any other meaningful things after work hours!

    I wonder if they keep to the full offerings that Netflix US has. There's a lot of LGBT themed shows on Netflix that are quite interesting to watch.

      Mostly because I don't understand them. I thought by seeing those shows, I can better understand and subsequently, make it less likely for me to offend them unknowingly.

      Not that I agree with LGBT being okay. I still think it is not right to be gay, just like I think it is not right to smoke/drink like nobody's business. But I can respect people's choice, as long as it doesn't affect me personally. But it is important to understand why people do what they do, regardless of whether you think it is right or wrong.

      I am surprised that you think like this. Smoking causes lung cancer. Drinking too much causes liver cirrhosis. That's why they are wrong. Loving the same gender responsibly is not wrong. why do you think it is wrong?

    I am shy to admit that i only got hooked to U-Tub sometime last year while my wife has been a regular for many years. It started by accident when I was searching for the attractions of travel places and I was truly impressed to see the actual places instead of just reading biased reviews by Mat Sallehs.

    I was also late comer to blogs and FB too. No tweet for me please....

    yeah can basically find all kinds of videos and movies and clips in U-tub.. when I have got nothing to do, this is where u find things to do, I mean watch~~ :p

    hahhaa.. U Tub.. good one... I am more engrossed with Astol... yes, one day I might get a good screen and watch Utub on the smart TV.. cheaper...

    I am not hooked to TV or U-tub. I know if I were to start watching, I will easily get addicted to it. So I stay off.

    Sometimes I saw nice shows on TV, then I proceed to U Tub to watch all the episodes, faster this way, no need to wait
