Spicy spicy

My friends who love eating spicy hot food went to Thai Kopitiam and ordered the following dishes that turned out to be too hot to handle even for them.

Mango salad - MYR8.90 - this dish is super duper spicy hot (I think due to the chili flakes)

Clear Tom Yam soup (small portion) - MYR12.90 - this soup is spicy hot too.

Pineapple fried rice - MYR11.90 - enough for two small eaters. A flavourful dish, not spicy.

    1. Should be easy to get a ripe pineapple there, right?

    3. Cook normal fried rice for her and pineapple fried rice for yourself?

  5. I don't like it if the food is super spicy until I cannot eat. I prefer if they let the customer request if they want it really spicy.

    1. you are right, i think the flavors have to make a balance so that one doesn't outshine another.. too spicy until i cannot taste the rest would not be a choice for me.. :)

  6. errr, i am curious since you mentioned your "friends who love eating spicy hot food went to Thai Kopitiam and ordered the following dishes that turned out to be too hot to handle even for them" without mentioning yourself.. so you were not there and just sharing their dishes here??

  8. I love Thai food too but have yet to try this place. Last time I lived in Taman Desa and frequented many eateries around Kuchai Lama. I guess this shop is quite new.
You might want to try a real Isaan Thai Food @ Lai Thai in Section 17's Happy Mansion flats which is quite cheap but to my fussy satisfaction. Isaan is a place at NE Thailand where the poorest people used to live, so their cooking varies.
