MyKuali Hokkien Prawn

I read that supermarkets are now selling MyKuali Penang Hokkien Prawn Noodle (natural ingredients prawn paste) so I went and bought a pack of 4 packets (MYR7.99). Fried shallots are included in each packets. The prawn paste has a very fragrant prawn taste.

As we don't have chinese water spinach (kang kong) at home, we just put other vegetables in it. Very tasty indeed. It would taste even better if we add some prawns to it.

This is how a packet looks like

  1. Selling for RM7.90 here. I saw the other day - did not bother to buy. The white curry ones, only RM4.50. I guess the novelty has worn off, nobody buying anymore.

  3. I saw this, but not bothered. I tried their white curry mee and am not impressed, the MSG hint was too strong for my liking. I don't understand why so many Penang born people say that instant white curry mee is so great, maybe because they miss their hometown food, as long as the taste resembles it then it is super awesome.

    1. My sentiments exactly. Turn here, turn there - it does not change the fact that they're...instant noodles. Any with added ingredients would taste great!

    2. I guess both of you are not die hard white curry and Penang Hokkien mee fans. Imagine craving for a bowl of either one at 3 am when all the shops and stalls are closed and you can have a bowl that tastes just like what you can get from the stalls if not better, it is really heaven to eat in the comfort of your own home to satisfy your cravings, :D

  5. So it is RM7.99 at your place there.. I bought one packet here in Ipoh.. 6.99 and in Penang, I saw it selling at RM6.50.. cheaper cos it is manufactured in Penang? :)
I tried it once, without the creamer... not bad and not too good either cos I don't have ingredients to go with it then.. :)

    1. I think you are referring to the White Curry noodles. This one does not have creamer.

    1. This is quite recent. Do give it a try if you like to eat instant noodles at home instead of going out to hawker stalls.
