2nd Time Wiser

My lunch gang decided to go to the "bad pasta" place again because they actually like eating the pasta there so I ordered the chicken noodles in clear soup this time.

Tiny cubes of chicken meat in clear soup with cabbage and a mix of mee hoon and kway teow noodle - MYR6.90 plus 5% service charge (MYR7.25 in total). Well this is better than the pasta I ate previously because the mee hoon is very soft and the soup is not oily at all.

    Penang people would not approve of this noodles soup. But then I am not Penang people, and I definitely approve of this clear soup :D

      no pork blood la, no taste la, not taste the same like Penang version la, etc etc

      Penang people are bloody vampire? they prefer their noodles with pork blood even in clear noodle soup? I thought only curry noodles they put in such thing...

      Anything in soup needs to have pork blood to be called "nice"... that's how most Penang lang rolls..

    Oohh they wana go to that pasta place again ahh? Yeah I still remember the bad pasta, haha.. Smart move for you to order something else.. Glad this is better for you, at least can swallow and finish the whole bowl la..

      I wonder if there's any chance when your gang wanted to go somewhere you do not ever want to go, you opt to ditch them and eat alone elsewhere??

    ah, koay teow beehoon soup, yes, that would be comforting for me, especially on a raining afternoon.. but I don't quite like the idea of chicken cubes and cabbage.. it would "taste" better if they use shredded chicken and choy sum to me, though the same thing, haha :D

    I also prefer clear soup than pasta... still don't know how to enjoy eating western noodles yet.. :)

      Authentic Pasta meals are very delicious. I guess you do not like cheese and cream that much?

    I eat anything! I would not hesitate to try anything new from clear to hot spicy until flaming hot soups with noodles or bihun.
