Lunch steam fish head

On Friday 2.feb.2024, he went over to prepare breakfast for the elderly. Then I walked over at 11 am and all 3 went to New Mun Kee Steam Fish Head to eat lunch. It was very hot to eat lunch in the roadside shed in the afternoon.

*** New Mun Kee Steam Fish hot lunch ***

12.04 noon - steamed song fish head with ginger paste MYR 36+. It is half a fish head, they must have used a very sharp knife to slice the fish head vertically. We gave most of the fish meat to the elderly who ate the white freshwater fish meat with gusto.

11.53 am - sweet potato leaves MYR 16+ and Pai guat wong MYR 23+ which I ate without rice. He and the elderly shared a big portion of rice MYR 2+

12.32 noon - total price is MYR 83.30 nett for 3 pax with 3 dishes, 1 rice and 2 hot tea.

*** Clear Fridge Food ***

1.13 pm - I ate the final remaining tea egg from Sunday and remaining frozen claypot salted fish chicken rice from Saturday.

Then at 2.30 pm he went over again to wait for the autogate service staff to change the motor MYR 750 nett. Kid1 went there too for treasure hunt for the 🗝️ because the late elderly didn't leave any last words so now everything is a treasure hunt, solving mysteries and clues.

  1. oh gosh, i can feel the pain of 'treasure hunt', especially when there's no proper 'handover' of what is being kept. My late aunt have some of her fixed deposits in bank and due to absent of 'will' and no proper handover of assets (and key), the next-of-kin will have to 'hunt' and go through the pain.

    1. You are right. It is a painful process. The children did request the late elderly to write a will but the late elderly refused to do so because writing a will to the late elderly meant admitting death is imminent and the late elderly didn't want to leave this world at all.

  2. Same situation as my late father in law. But not much for me as we are in Kuching, not in Kapit

    1. Ya, just like kid2 and kid4 just flew home so no need to participate in treasure hunts.

  3. Last year I arranged for my parents to write their will. At the time it appeared as if my dad did not have long to live. And yet, he is still here today. LOL!

    1. Wah, your parents are so open minded and willingly write their wills. The Elderlies here refused to do so. The recent surgery that you and your brother decided to sign for your father, that your father did appears to have done wonders for him. Good that both of you are very generous 👍

  4. There is a motorised cutter which my supermart uses to cut chicken up. Probably quite easy to use for fish heads too.

Erm the elderly doesn't know about the affairs of the late elderly?

    1. No idea because the elderly cannot answer when asked.
