He bought chicken rice for the elderly's lunch and went to serve the lunch to the elderly.

*** Fatty Mixed Rice Sri Petaling ***

4.23 pm - my braised egg, omelette, sweet potato leaves no rice MYR 4 nett.
His chapfan no rice is MYR 8 nett. Foc Soup of the day is chicken feet old cucumber soup which I didn't drink.

He bought Chapfan for the elderly's dinner and went to serve the dinner to the elderly.

*** Xmas Decor ***

4.41 pm - as usual we parked the car in pinnacle condo car park. Pinnacle condo has also put up their Xmas Decor.

*** Status ***

2.24 pm - kid 1 who was back from vacation in Hokkaido visited the elderly in the ward and brought her cs bao for lunch so he didn't go during lunch time with the tuna sandwich but changed to go to the ward in the evening and the tuna sandwich will be dinner. I hope the cs bao is made from chicken meat as no pork is allowed in the ward. Pulse 84.

6.14 ish pm - received a call from the ward informing that the elderly somehow fell from the bed despite the bed railing being up. Not sure how because the elderly requested the curtain around the bed to be drawn. CT scan shows ok, just a 1 cm wound back of the head on the left.

The nurses heard a loud noise and rushed in the drawn curtains to find the elderly on the floor.

6.44 pm - he reached the ward. The elderly has clear speech but couldn't recall his name but was able to do so when the doctor asks the same questions.

To prevent the elderly from climbing over the railing again, both hands are tied to the bed railing.

Apparently according to kid4 via group chat, kid1 said that the elderly said let's go and tried to get ready to go back with kid1 when kid1 was saying goodbye. I guess the elderly was already confused since then.

10.10 pm - he left messages at the nurse station to call if required and went home as the elderly has already slept. Brought home the tuna sandwich because after the fall, the ward says food is not allowed.

  1. The elderly in ward has dementia, diabetes & hyperkalemia? In his mid 80s too? Tht's challenging to take care.

    1. More than that. Hypertension, heart disease, hyperthyroidism. Hopefully will not develop kidney disease as well since taking so many types of different meds. One day at a time.

  2. Oh dear! I am glad the elderly was not seriously injured in the fall. It is a challenging time for your spouse and his siblings.

    1. Two siblings are not in this country so all they can do is worry at home only. Kid1 is back and due to some reasons will only take care of one elderly. Only my spouse have to take care of both elderlies. I think my spouse may die before both elderlies if this goes on for another ten years which is quite likely seeing the medical field is quite successful at extending life without ensuring a high quality of life.
