Tofu Prawn Rice

On Thursday 23.sep.21, I stayed home the whole day while he went to cook red snapper fish fillets congee by adding raw fish fillets to the bought congee and bringing the congee to boil again for the elderlies' lunch.

*** Jazz Cafe again ***

12.51 noon - I saw this tofu Prawn Rice on Foodpanda sold by Jazz Cafe so I bought it as I like to eat prawns and also tofu.

12.59 noon - I ate this small portion from the main container and he ate all the balance when he was back from the elderlies. I find this dish quite nice and fulfills my expectations. He doesn't find it oily but I feel that it could be less oily. The tomato gravy is slightly spicy.

12.39 noon - I ate a bit of this duck ginger yee Mee for lunch and kept the balance for dinner. Taste ok, a bit on the oily side. Not spicy at all.

11.57 am - he ate some wanton noodles before he went over to the elderlies. The balance we kept it for dinner. It is slightly spicy and extremely salty so we won't buy this wanton Mee again. The meat is layered belly so there are layers of fat which we didn't eat.

I wanted to use the Cashback voucher given by Jazz Cafe my previous order but because makan33 promo is still on, I use makan33 e-voucher instead. Total price is about MYR 27 and these three containers of food are both lunch and dinner for the two of us on this day.

Bought two packs of congee for him to add raw fish and bring to boil before serving to the elderlies as lunch. Cannot use makan33 promo code because I didn't buy enough to reach MYR 25.

8.57 am - he ate  chicken rice wine Mee hoon bought from Good Taste yesterday as his breakfast and save a small portion for Me.

12.18 noon - I ate the portion he kept aside for me as brunch. I like it a lot especially the fried egg so will order this dish from Good Taste eatery again.

7.09 pm - the balance of duck ginger yee Mee for dinner for the two of us. Quite a lot of noodles. Could do with more slices of ginger.

7.33 pm - my dinner of remaining duck ginger yee Mee mix with the balance of wanton noodles. Too salty so I drank 300 ml of cold water after eating these noodles.

So now I have two Cashback vouchers from Jazz Cafe. Guess it means I will buy from them again. Maybe will choose other dishes.

  1. Duck ginger yee mee sounds interesting but if too oily then not nice already...like eating noodles soaked on oil🤭....The menu in Jazz cafe seems variety with noodles & rice dish.

    1. Duck ginger yee Mee is a popular dish. Mostly noodles tai char eateries will have this dish on their menu and mostly is a bit oily. It is not overly oily. Ya, you can go check out the menu of Jazz Cafe.
