Read about this Rice Pot Empire eatery in PH's article and wanted to try it every since.
Mon 6.sep.21 7.40 pm - this dish from Rice Pot Empire eatery is called the ultimate indulgence with bursting balls, belly slices, ribs and a meat patty in superior meat broth with mixian. The meat patty is very flavourful but a bit too salty for me. W like the ribs the best because they are tender and have been marinated well. The lettuce leaves have been added by him.
2.26 pm - size comparison between a mooncake and a tub of hk curry beef rice from the same eatery.
Tue 7.sep.21 7.22 am - breakfast shared by two pax. Ribs mixian in tomato ribs broth. The tomato soup is full of flavours so we both like it more than the signature soup.
Tue 7.sep.21 12.20 noon - the hk curry beef rice. He says it tastes buttery so he doesn't want to eat it. I ate half and put the remaining portion into the freezer for another day. The beef is very tender so this dish is tasty.
2.31 pm - 3 items ordered. They gave 3 tiny bags of choy poh stir fried in chili oil.
The price of the ultimate indulgence meal is MYR 26.80 nett.

8.17 am - placed order on panda shops.
8.11 am - placed an order on pandamart.
12.44 noon - he couldn't eat the hk beef curry mixian so he cooked a pack of instant noodles and ate them with Nikudo chives sui gao which are too salty for my liking.
Tue 7.sep.21 12.56 noon - hk beef curry rice with 3 Nikudo dumplings. Cannot finish the beef and rice so store the remaining portion in the freezer.
Wed 8.sep.21 12.56 noon - finally finished the remaining hk beef curry rice from the freezer.
2 pm - bought these veges from Klesis cafe using beepit.
4.23 pm - Ordered dinner for the two elderlies from Canton Kitchen.

ReplyDeleteHah! Toto got open ah? I also don't know. My mother in law suddenly cannot say her own name and everyone's name also cannot say. Cannot operate basic things like rice cooker, thermal water pot and etc. Maybe is sudden onset of dementia. Very stressful time for her two children who are in klang valley.

DeleteI am sorry about the life changing event. It is a dreaded event and not easy to take care of dementia patient. I suppose she will be relying more on your father-in-law and her children to take care of her.

ReplyDeleteThe ultimate indulgence version seems to have too many unconnected ingredients. I'd be happier with the on in tomato broth.
There are cases of reversible dementia. But not optimistic that hers is one of them. Hahaha, you feel the ingredients don't jell for the ultimate indulgence meal.
