Fa Cai at Sri Petaling

On Saturday 11.sep.21, I went to the open air morning street market road side stall at about 8.20 am to buy a fresh loaf of gardenia wholemeal bread for the elderlies and was surprised to see no QR code for scanning and no thermometer. Are they waiting for authorities to fine them? But they are just a few roadside very small makeshift stalls so I guess they can't afford thermometers and they don't know how to get QR codes. Oh well, it is open air and no customers except for me so I guess it is ok.

*** Tuesday 31.aug.21 ***

I saw this Fa Cai coffee shop, Sri Petaling popping up on Food Panda with a meat noodles stall so I ordered from it to try. I haven't seen Fa Cai coffee shop before so I think it may be a new coffee shop.

Tue 31.aug.21 8.30 am - Breakfast for 1 pack shared by 2 pax. Bitter gourd meat slices and liver meehoon in soup. This type has clear broth so it is not his favourite type of broth cooked from meat.

MYR 5 voucher from 350 points. Order two of the same type but with different types of noodles. Meehoon and yee Mee. Kway teow will lump together when stored in the fridge so we seldom buy kway teow when we may need to store it for another day.

Wed 1.sep.21 8.39 am - The next day breakfast is the yee Mee same type of meat broth noodles from Fa Cai from the fridge bought on the day before. He added an egg to the broth to make it thicker for yee Mee. Normally yee Mee meat broth has egg drops in it but this one doesn't so he added the egg drops in it when he reheated it. Taste fine to me but then I only eat 20% of the whole portion while he eats 80% so he says only order this pork noodles when there are no other choices. Oh well.

  1. Nice to take while they are warm. Used to enjoy a claypot yee mee when I was a child. Always burnt my tongue though. Lol. Now hardly eat Yee mee, maybe couldn't find nice one nearby.

    1. Ya, claypot yee Mee is very hot due to the claypot retaining all the heat.

    1. Ya, open air street Market and flea market doesn't have that much capital. Must go to those not packed with people. Must look out for points to collect to exchange for vouchers.

  3. At least you can mark off this place from your to-try list. There are many other good places in your radar.

  4. No QR code to scan? Wow...that is still possible over there? Thought everyone will be worried about getting fines these days.
