Ulu Yam Kampung Durian

On Wednesday 11.aug.21, we stayed home and ordered one food pandabox delivery from KM Kitchen that covered breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also received one delivery from DHL for the things we bought online during 8.8 sales day.

*** Sun 8.aug.21 ***

Ulu Yam Kampung Durian - thick rich durian with bitter taste. The exact review is pekat kaw kaw foo, so tasty. Foo in Cantonese means bitter.

I received the above message and bought 30 kg kampung durian including shells for my friend's birthday as her whole family loves to eat durian by waps Yee Kuat in BM. I am happy that my friend and family say the durian is delicious as I wouldn't be able to handle so many durians with shells.

My friend's photo of the durian when they were delivered directly to the doorstep. For those who wants to help them can contact Yee Kuat to buy these tasty durian with shells. Transport fees will depend on the drop off point.

I found some news about these durian at this link:

Not just kampung durian.?

Yee Kuat is mentioned in the article as chairman of the indigenous village committee in the above excerpt from the article.

Picture above is from the above url.

  1. I also tasted some good kampung durian few weeks ago. A friend of hubby delivered all the way from her hometown and passed to him when he dropped by Kuching for weekends. Gosh. So good. And after finished them up, we used the husk to drink, believe to reduce heatiness. I dont take durians for many years now. Reason us heatiness, as I easily fall sick. At least I tasted 1 kampung durian this year. Lol.

    1. Eating durian and drinking water from the husks is the best way to enjoy durian. Glad you did it after so many years not taking in durian due to heatiness. Durian kampung tastes just as good as branded ones. So very nice and thoughtful of your hubby's friend to gift you all her hometown kampung durian. Yums yummy 😋😋😋 👍👍👍

  2. It is good to help purchase durians from the Orang Asli community. I also bought some petai from the supplier. So nice of you to share the durians with your friend. This season I get to enjoy durians, mangosteen and longkong.

    1. Thanks. I don't think I have tried longkong before. I have eaten duku, duku langsat and langsat a long time ago but not longkong.
