Fried Basmathi Brown Rice

Tuesday 10.aug.21 is a public holiday. Did you have a good day off from work?

We ordered bread and frozen chicken chop from Pandamart Delivery and dropped off the bread to the elderlies at their doorstep. Didn't order any food deliveries. Just ate the food from the fridge.

12 noon - this is fried basmathi brown rice with tomatoes, luncheon meat, eggs and lettuce for lunch and dinner. With this meal, we have used up all the basmathi brown rice so the question is, do we buy another pack of basmathi brown rice or just normal white rice?

The luncheon meat is from a sg brand and I find it to be nice, flavourful but not that salty with a firm texture, not wobbly soft. With that, we have used up all the luncheon meat cans we have stocked up at home. To stock up again or not?

  1. Stock up! Why not? I also prefer SG brand spam but i find them too firm and salty. So gotta eat with lotsa rice.

  4. Seems your hubby doesn't quite like basmathi brown right. Maybe basmathi white next? My take on this is that rice won't make all that much difference in our health. I try to mix in some brown rice with our white but won't fuss if I run out and it's only white.

Try Tulip Premium/Less sodium if the normal saltiness bothers you.

    1. He says he is ok with it after it is fully cooked until less earth smell. Ya, agree that no need to fuss if brown rice runs out and only eat white rice. I think maybe if they put less sodium, they may put some other ingredients to ensure it remains flavourful and these other ingredients dunno is better or worse than salt.
