Felt like eating Prawn Noodles but not going out so search for a Prawn Noodles Delivery and found one near One Utama called Fun Kitchen Delivery with their Signature Prawn Noodles without any Monosodium glutamate (MSG). Watched their video on U Tub and looks tasty so ordered 4 bowls of Signature Prawn Noodles at MYR 15 each.
Grab Express Delivery Fees are about MYR 22 nett so for those living near One Utama, they can choose to pick up their orders instead. Even if they choose delivery, their delivery fees would be much lower as they live near One Utama. They also sell fresh pork meat as mentioned on their fb page funkitchenfreshporkdelivery. Total price is MYR 82 nett so that works out to be MYR 20.50 nett per serving which is about the price of prawn noodles with pork ribs from the Champs so I am ok with the price since they do not use MSG and I get to eat in the comfort of my home.
The broth is still hot when I received the noodles at about 11.48 am on Tuesday 21 July 2020 d126. The prawns and siew yuk are fresh and tasty and there is even a lot of water spinach (kang kong aka Ipomoea aquatica) hidden beneath the meat.
The broth is stored in a separate container so we just need to pour the broth into the noodles and start eating. There are many pieces of carrots in the broth to give it the sweetness and the sambal provided separately smells oommmpphhh of belacan but we did not eat that because we are scared of spiciness, lolx! Maybe next time if we are near the vicinity of One Utama, we can self collect our order.
I cooked some meehoon to soak up the remaining broth and finished eating all of them.
While on fb yesterday I saw this Keng Guan Roast Pork fb page kgroastedpork so I ordered a slab of 1 kg roast pork at MYR 90 nett with MYR 5 delivery fees since they are from Puchong area and received it at 1.20 pm on Tuesday 21 July 2020 d126 with the roast pork still warm and we get to eat crispy pork crackling. Crackling is the crisp fatty skin of roast pork.
Side view. Can't see the sides.
Side view again to see the sides but can't see the skin.
The meat is tender and I like that there is more meat and only thin layers of fat. When I eat a piece of crackling with fats and tender meat, it turned gooey gooey in my mouth just like eating Pu Tien's deep fried pork trotters. So yummy!
1.40 pm - We gave one third (330g) to my friend and cut the remaining into pieces as above. Ate some and stored the remaining in the fridge for the next day.
6.40 pm - our shared dinner of mee suah, one hard boiled egg, bok choy and siew yuk.
7 pm - by this time, my portion of the mee suah has turned into kuih but I like eating them all soft and clumped together like this. After that, cookie monster strikes again and gobbles up one pack of Le-mond lemon fillings (2 sandwich crackers) and one pack of 4 Julie round peanut butter sandwich biscuits.
Prawn noodles look so good, the roast pork too, absolutely perfect!
